“A hotel with possibilities, but needs a true hotelier!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2014 via mobile

Upon arrival to Bali greeted by a delightful young man who drove me to the hotel. The room was nicely appointed but the bath towels had skid marks from a previous guest. I requested fresh towels and one of the new ones also had the same stains. Then went to lunch, ordered a hamburger that was raw in the middle. Unfortunately, I had eaten some of this before I realized. At breakfast the next day, requested an omelette, to which the cook did not know what it was. The omelette was served like a fried egg. While there were some bright moments, it was very apparent that trainees were used extensively and guests expected to accept very friendly but inadequate service. I would ask the owners to appoint a true hotelier that will train your employees and provide your guests with a quality and level of service that will establish your property as a leader in a very crowded marketplace.

The hotel still seems new- everything was clean and well maintained and working properly. We found the service of the staff fabulous- from room service to car hire and airport pickup: everything was smooth.

The rooftop pool and bar is a lovely space and we has a good experience at the spa as well. Definitely recommend them both.

Our room was lovely and large; the bathroom was fabulous and modern; a lovely little balcony to the room as well.

Fully recommend Sing Ken Ken as a good place to stay in Seminyak!

Room Tip: Road-facing rooms are nice.

We did not enjoy this hotel at all. It definitely markets it self well however it's lacking. The area isn't ideal, it feels like you're in a constriction site.
The room we were given was a standard room it was clean and presentable. However the shower was broken and the water leaked all over the room. I thought the staff handled the situation extremely poorly . The lady who was working appeared to be some sort of supervisor was SO lazy she just wanted us to go away. I asked her if she can maybe include breakfast in our stay so we can eat whole they fix the room since we got in late and there was nothing around there. They couldn't do that. Fine. We go upstairs for breakfast and they shut down he and half early . The place isn't very nice and it really needs staff to make it. We decided to leave immediately and went to Fontana hotel in kuta . It was cheaper, nicer, and the staff was amazing. Shame places like sing ken ken still get business.

A brand new hotel within a short walk to the beach should provide a pleasant stay. But when I was there the hotel management allowed a very loud party to be held on their property. It started at 3pm and lasted toll well past 11pm. What did they expect the guests to do, check out during that time? They are also located on a street where loud motorbikes are frequently heard. And if that isn't enough, a local group loves to set off loud fireworks nearby.
If you are one of those types that could fall asleep on a airport tarmac, you may find this property appealing. But for the rest of you, stay away!

Room Tip: A room in the basement might allow you to sleep.

We stayed at sing ken ken for five nights and the rooms are amazing. The bathroom was the best I have ever seen in a hotel type accommodation. Roof top pool and bar are just gorgeous. As are the staff. They are willing to go the extra mile to help with anything if you ask. Very friendly also. Great value for money! The one thing I will say is that the wifi connection is unstable. However I had friends staying at a resort just down the road who found the same thing so could just be the area. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks sing ken ken for a great stay!

Stayed for 2 nights Jan 2013

Positives:
- Rooms are great, large with clean well lit bathroom and nice balcony
- Location excellent right near beach and accross the road from Cocoon
- Staff friendly

Negatives:
- Lobby very average and small
- Rooftop restuarant is set under a glass roof which almost acts like a conservatory which mean it was unbearably hot
- Pool is small with limited day beds

Probably wouldn't stay again

Room Tip: We had the standard room and it was lovely.

The hotel is located next to beach, which would be nice if the beach is actually worth going to. It is full with litter all across the beach so don't go here if you want to be at good beach destination.

The room is good and modern, however, the walls are very thin and you can hear everything that happens in the next rooms.

There are better places for breakfast, not even worth mentioning, very poor food. Would recommend Revolver.

The hotel needs some new management, there were about 5 people on staff on the rooftop pool and they just stand around the whole day staring at the guests, very uncomfortable. They do not even ask any guest if they want something to drink or eat, and if you do go to them to get a drink it takes them literally 20minutes to get two coffees.

Would recommend to skip Legian and this hotel and go to Seminyak where there are better hotel and dinner options. Beach is not much better there though.
