“Brilliant coffee”
Reviewed May 15, 2014 via mobile

Wow, great quality coffee. Quality coffee with a really lovely crema to the espressos and macchiatos we ordered. The place has lovely little booths adjacent to the main dining and drinking area. All have had a makeover and look very clean, relaxed and funky. A great addition to the area

“Won't be disappointed”
Reviewed May 7, 2014

The coffee is flawless, best in town. The deck room with the floor cushions is great for the kids, staff were so helpful and friendly they really made our day, The smoothies were delicious as were the pizza's which were a refreshing change from the usual tourist pizzas. I will definitely go back on the next trip. Highly recommend.

“Best brunch!!”
Reviewed May 3, 2014 via mobile

great coffee, great food, great service! Complimentary cold water on arrival. the menu compares to any trendy cafe menu in Melbourne and the food did not disappoint! The burger is one of the best ive had anywhere, with all the sides you would expect with a good burger; chips, sauce, cornichons. We will be going back!!

“Great Coffee, fantastic fresh breakfast”
Reviewed April 24, 2014 via mobile

Came past a couple of days ago and had a snack that was so good we decided to skip the hotel breakfast abd come here. So glad we did. Mushroom with thyme in an egg net was wonderful. Smashed avocado was just as good. Had unti as a sweet finish (pandan crepes filled with coconut). Wonderful friendly staff.

“Decent cup”
Reviewed April 24, 2014

Visited as a couple for a break. It was an off and on rainy day and Sacred Ground gave us a chance at some respite. It is conveniently located on the shopping street.

We ordered a brew coffee (Sumatra) and one of the coconuts on special. The coffee was a good cup-solid delivery of Sumatran style bean. Full bodied and with characteristic sourness, overall a pleasant cup. The coconut wasn't too great though, unfortunately... a tad bland and very warm in spite of all the ice they provided on the side. Huge in terms of volume.

The shop is completely open air and split into 3 "compartments". One is near the bar and you can watch the main street (a parade actually passed by while we were there). the second compartment features more comfortable sofa-like seating. The third and innermost compartment is I guess just quieter and more intimate.

Unfortunately didn't have the chance to try the food.
