Mainly chose this hotel to see if i enjoyed staying on Padma Street. I did love the location for a quick access to a huge numner of restaurants and shopping.

I paid for a superior suite but were upgraded to deluxe due to renovations. Wow, is all i can say - and did say. Suite was huge. Very clean, large bathroom, walk in wardrobe. Huge living area and a tv which swivels to watch from the lounge or bed. Room was cleaned every day, lovely clean and thick towels. Only problem for us was we were on top level and with a pram was a little difficult. Staff did allow us to leave at reception. Was a long walk to our room, was like walking through a tunnel, very hot in the corridors.

Staff were very friendly, especially the reception staff.

Breakfast was good, you can choose an item plus juice off the menu. Pineapple pancakes were yum, as were their juices. Not watered down at all like many other hotels.

Pool was lovely. A different sort of pool, with a bridge over the top to the rooms. The pool winded through the hotel. I would request a ground floor room should i stay again. Be great to walk out of room straight to the pool.

Music across the road was a little noisy of an evening.

I would definitely stay here again if the price was right. I really enjoyed the location.

Room Tip: Choose ground floor for easy access to pool.

Just realised that I forgot to review this hotel last year and we have just left Casa Padma after staying for 17 nights, this was our second time staying here and will not be the last. While I have given a rating of excellent, there are a few things that could be improved, which I will mention, but the overall experience for us, was just that, Excellent.
We are a family of 5, children aged 13, 10 and 6. This is one hotel that can accommodate all of us in one room, and the rooms are quite large with a flat screen tv and a small lounge area.
The staff at this hotel are a credit to themselves, everyone from the reception staff to the cleaners, always greeting us with a smile, getting ice for our drinks, playing with the children, making kites for them and doing their make-up, you made us feel like family. Special thanks to Anna and Widi.
The location is great, some say it is a bit noisy because the Legian pub is across te road, but we were on the ground floor and it did'nt bother us. The Beach is only a few minutes walk away and there are plenty of great resteraunts close by. It costs about $2.50 AU for a taxi to Waterbom Park or Discovery Plaza.
The improvements that could be made would include the Breakfast, it is just a little lack lustre, and this is being really picky.....the bacon doesn't really taste like bacon, the toast could be hot, all in all there is just not a lot of variation...mix it up bit, change it around and it'd be great.
Others in the hotel agree'd that this was the only letdown.
The other is that it is really quite slippery when it rains (as it is eveywhere in Bali) especially in the lobby and on the stairs. Elderly visitors should definitely try to book a ground floor room.
These things will not prevent us from returning though, we are now at a more expensive hotel in Sanur for 5 nights and it has no where near the great atmosphere of the "Casa".
We were sad to leave....but will return again soon

Cheers,

Chris & Katie + Family

We stayed here for 7 nights in the deluxe suite. We travelled with our 4 year old and 16 year old. We travel to Bali each year. We couldn't fault the cleanliness of the hotel, staff were available 24/7 for any questions or help we needed. Breakfast especially the indonesian breakfast was tasty. Mozzerella is just accross the road with Bali Beach Shack around the corner both now in our top 5 restaurants in Bali! Surrounding streets are clean, beach 300m away (you can see it from the front of the hotel). Shopping and money exchange just steps away. Pool is quiet which was great for us. The pub accross the road can be noisy but when you are in your room you cant hear it. Especially for first time travellers i would recommend the Casa Padma

I stayed with a friend in a standard twin share room on the first floor. This hotel came recommended by friends. We caught up with them as they had arrived 5 days earlier. (This is about their 6th stay in this hotel.)
We were met at the airport by a driver from the hotel and driven straight there about 25 mins travel.
The hotel is great value for money - (we booked on-line which gave us a better rate than the brochure at the desk). We were able to walk to all the recommended massage and spa centres and also to the markets and a department store.
Great location, fabulous friendly service and the wide range of breakfast is included in the tariff. We found the meals here were excellent.
Booking the room for a late check-out (6:00 pm) is a great idea so you can relax before dinner and the trip to the airport for the late flight home.
The hotel provided us with transport to the airport. We plan on staying here on our next trip!

Room Tip: We had a first floor room and the noise from the Legian Pub across the road is quite loud on Karaoke...

Bad points - The room was basic and the bathroom very small. The headboard on the bed was cracked and a few things seemed like they were falling apart. Didnt really like the swimming pool either. The noise from the bar adjacent was unreal, between 6pm and 11pm be prepared to listen to possbly THE worst karaoke of your life, and in this hotel there in nowhere to hide from it, you can hear it no matter what. Wifi inst free unless you go to drops bar downstairs.

Good points - Very nice breakfast included. Very friendly staff. Good location, just a walk away from padma beach which is great for surfing. The food at drops bar downstairs is awesome and quite cheap, really like that place.

Overall - Have a look around, your money will go further elsewhere

Room Tip: Try and get a room out the back. That way you wont have to listen to drunken people doing renditions...

We have stayed at the Casa Padma quite a few times over the last few years. It doesn't always get a good wrap up but it think that's because a lot of people have champagne tastes on a beer budget. Simply....you get what you pay for.... In our opinion we get a whole lot more....
The staff are so friendly, engaging and accommodating to our needs. They go beyond their means to make sure we are happy.
The rooms are huge, bigger than any room you would ge in Australia unless you chose a self contained apartment. Yes the hot water can take a little while to come through and the pressure isn't great but the same happened in a 4 star property up the road.....it's Bali!
The pool is always clean, not cold, plenty of shade or sun.
The breakfasts are cooked fresh, again if you want to make changes or special requests it's never a problem.
Never ever had a problem with cleanliness.
You can hear a bit of noise from music but it's never been a problem, we don't go to Bali to be stick in the muds. The location is right on the street and that is an advantage to this property. You are right in the heart of Legian where everything you need is just a stones throw. It is not on acres and acres of lush tropical QUIET gardens so yes you will get noise. But the benefits far out way the negatives.
We have stayed at this hotel as a couple, with friends, with our children and our family. It really is an all rounder.
Do your homework, make sure you know what type of accommodation you want, you choose it, so don't blame the hotel if you make the wrong choice, enjoy it for what it is!

Stayed here for 1 night on a stop over and found the place to be great. This is the fourth different hotel I have stayed in in Bali and would have to say it is one of the best.
The rooms are quite big and well appointed and all over look the pool area. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The location is great, right on Jalan Padma very close to Garlic Lane and all the shops. There are plenty of restaurants and bars close by and the beach is only a short walk.
I reckon the best way to rate any place is whether or not I would be happy to stay there again, the answer is yes and we are looking to stay there on our next Bali Holiday.

Room Tip: There is no lift and the stairs can get quite tedious, so try and book on the 1st or 2nd floors.
