“Budget budget budget. Nice pool though”
Reviewed December 5, 2010

I would recommend looking for other accommodation before booking in here. Yes it is cheap, but it's cheap for a reason. Mouldy walls, dirty linen, doors and windows that don't close, let alone lock. The rooms are just unexplainably awful. There's a nice pool with a swim up bar, but not much space for deck chairs or to lie next to the pool.

So we decided to get away for the weekend and go to Bali (from Perth) staying at Balisani, Padma. We paid $38AUD per night for 2 nights. We read a bunch of average reviews but took the chance anyway. We have stayed in some of the best and some of the worst accomodations in our years of travel so we feel like we give a pretty accurate review on most things. I dont understand why people say to stay away - its $38!! c'mon. Its pool and pool bar are really decent, great relaxing atmosphere, happy hour 5-7, make decent coktails. The grounds were actually really good and the rooms were maybe the only negative talking point. BUT, only for the dirty bathrooms. The beds are comfy, rooms are quiet. I think its worth $38 for sure. If you like spending time in your room then maybe look elswhere but we just wanted a cheap place to sleep, that had a pool bar so we could have few cocktails before getting out and walking the steets and it was fine.

Hotel location and facilities were ok, altough aircon broke twice, and the bathtub was leaking. Room looks bigger on the picture, than it actualy is. Pool is nice, breakfast is decent. However at the lobby one of the guys can not be trusted. Whenever we asked for help he offered us solutions that were triple in price - probably beneficial for him, not for us. One example: On the last day we asked for a taxi to the airport(early morning flight), and he offered a driver for 150k, saying that driver needs to sleep in front of the hotel bacause of the early hour:) after all we hailed a cab and paid 30k for the ride

The staff were very helpful at reception happy to help with anything! Pool is really nice and food is awesome (also cheap). The bathroom was old and didnt look like the photos but who cares when your paying for cheap accommodation. This hotel was in prime spot only short walk the the beach and close to all the things you need like money change internet and circle K. Hotel was quiet not many kids mainly couples and group of friends staying here. Felt really safe would definetly stay here again! I would recommend the cottage room we stayed in standard but next time go cottage closer to the pool!

Location of the hotel was relatively convenient however, service was extremely poor. Staff was reluctant to assist with requests. Rooms were old and not maintained. Rooms were also not noise proof and one can hear the conversations of others from the next room. Breakfast that we had at the hotel was not replenished and did not have much choices and was messy.

This hotel should not have a star rating. We booked 2 room for 10 nights but walked away after 2 nights. On arrival we found blood on the sheets. Door would not lock and when latched there was enough gap for our 14 year old to climb in. Towel and sheets are very worn and poorly laundered. Rooms are small, dark and smelly. Our aircon was new and worked well-kids air con did not. Pool is ok but dirty and breakfast ok. If you just want somewhere cheap to sleep its probably ok. With labour so cheap they could clean this place up and make is better. If you can afford to upgrade do yourself a favour. I couldnt get a refund as Id booked via wotif.
