this hotel location was great but you need walking to beachwalk or hard rock cafe from this hotel. this hotel breakfast was excellent with ice cream and variation of food. the security and staff was good. hotel room too but remember if you wanna check out make sure on time or they lock the door even your luggage still inside and the process to unlock the key little bit longer that marriot on other countries. so i suggest they can be like other marriot member on other countries. overall great. bathroom was good with separate between shower and toilet room. to reach the room we need walking the pool. the receptionist also can give you two keys room.

This hotel was fantastic. If you are searching hotels in Bali where you dont want to have to worry about anything at all please book this place. From the second you walk in you are greeted with ice pops and refreshing towels. The staff escorts you to your room and explains everything about the hotel to you. The pool is AMAZING, drinks are priced well and the breakfast option is phenomenal. If I ever go back to Bali I will definitely stay there again. Great location so you can walk accross the street to the beach or 4 blocks to the mall/plaza area A Marriott gem!

You know it's going to be a mixed experience when a hotel's strongest suit is it gym and it's worst is it's restaurants. But first, the rooms. Guestrooms either face the pool (for an additional fee), a derelict building, or into another adjacent property. The rooms themselves are fine, with a comfortable bed (with less-than-comfortable pillows), adequate work space, shower and changing area partitioned by a thick curtain. During our stay in December, we had to get the room sprayed everyday because it was infested with mozzies. Imagine hearing the buzzing sound of commando mozzies darting around your face as you try to sleep.

The hotel can be noisy and unconducive for relaxation. What would one expect when there is a convention onsite that aspires to host events for up to 2,000 at a go on a relatively small property (a feature overlooked during booking). The centerpiece of the hotel is a large pool, which is amply surrounded by deck chairs.

Despite the claims that there are three restaurants, they are all in one dining space demarcated by sometimes nothing more than a sliding door.

The best feature of the hotel, which we utilized everyday, was the gym. Generously spacious, it has a nice assortment of equipment and a supply of distilled water and fruits.

Overall, I would say that despite its branding, The Stones Hotel, which is managed by Marriott emphasizes on the "mood" (and probably the "masses") without considering the finer touches that make a hotel a great resort. The bathtubs on the upper floors located of all places the balcony with billowy white curtains for privacy is an indication of form above function.

I have done some traveling in my time but this hotel has go be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at.
I don't think I would stay here if I was travelling with my son as there wouldn't be enough to keep him occupied but for an adult only hotel it is a must staff are so attentive we felt like celebrities.

We stayed here for 5 nights over Christmas & booked 2 pool view interconnecting rooms as we travelled with our 2 boys (7&4). The rooms were clean & well appointed with the king room having a bath on the balcony. I would recommend pool view over ground floor pool access rooms as these rooms have no balcony or privacy. The pool area is gorgeous with plenty of chairs & great swim up bar & cabanas. Breakfast was great with a fantastic choice & my sons particularly loved the ice cream option for breakfast!!!
Location was a bit out of the way for us & we will probably stay closer to Seminyak next time but overall a great option for Kuta area.

Room Tip: Definitely pool view room on a higher floor. The deluxe rooms with bath on the balcony are worth the...

Ok...simply put. It's a fab hotel, my only complaint is they do not control the mozzies, this is a must and they are lacking in this area. We moved up to top level as we heard through other guests they were not that bad up there. The staff are awesome, pool is amazing, pool service always on the go, breaky good. The Blue Sapphire club out front with the pool is awesome to w spent a lot of the time there, that place at night is a club with insane music if your into your house, breaks etc.
The jacuzzi up stairs that looks out to the ocean is beautiful at sunset. The hotel has a lot to offer full stop. It's not a Balinese theme hotel which I missed as I love going to Bali to experience Bali all round. Our first stay in Kuta as we always stay in Legian and I can say it was great. But I will stick to Legian as Kuta area is so aggressive especially at night, expect to be hounded all day long and night to walking out of this hotel. Wish the stones was more on Legian.

Great room, the bath on the balcony with the curtains was wonderful for listening to the live music entertainment early afternoons. Pool area magnificent! Loved the pool chairs in the water! Super idea in a hot tropical place like Bali! Buffett breakfast was extensive and the fussiest eater would be able to find options. The room service was of great standard! We ordered a midnight feast of wood fired pizza and personalized salad and it came quickly, and it was a wonderful meal served with a great twist! Loved the unusual take on the regular hotel. The amazing lobby area, stunning pool, funky but functional rooms all added to the appeal and the magic of this hotel! No problem with security! Would rather be safe than sorry for an extra 45 seconds! Plus it means you get to see the cute Labradors that rotate on the gates! Great distraction with a toddler! Kids club is new, and our little girl had a fun bracelet making session! Staff were fantastic loving and caring with our little girl! Everyone took extra time out of there busy day, which can be hard in the hospitality industry to give her attention and make her feel like a VIP guest! The cot provided was great! Had to hide the in room lollipops though! The bath bombs in the outdoor bath at night are a great hit too with a toddler and the drummer and fire dancers are amazing spectical to watch from your balcony! Bottom floor rooms have private pools and curtains, with seats in the water! Perfect for cocktails! Great hotel, great staff and a great time! Will try to be back to enjoy the hospitality of the stones autograph and your staff in hopfully September this year! Thank you very much!
