“One of the best in Legian.”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

I have stayed at the Magani Hotel & Spa twice in the past year, most recently on a work related visit to Bali in November 2013.

The hotel is modern, about 2 years old and located in the heart of Legian and a short stroll to the beach. Rooms are contemporary in design, spacious and well equipped. The reception area is attractive and functional with an adjacent business room. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the hotel.

A large pool is located in the middle of the hotel with rooms overlooking on all sides which will not suit those people who like a bit of privacy. Pool bar is included and can be fun at times!

Best of all is the restaurant and staff, both get 10/10 from me. The breakfast is fantastic with heaps to choose from and all given with the most friendly service you could wish for. At night the restaurant “Mozzarella” is a delight with views down to the street below with all the bright lights and hustle & bustle. The food is fantastic with a great choice and is amazing value. The restaurant prices either match or are cheaper than the street restaurants and cafes but the food and surroundings are in a different league.

For value for money the Magani is a good choice. Only down side is that the pool area that can get a bit noisy and offers little privacy. Apart from that it's the best place to stay in Legian IMHO.

Stayed for business and for holiday on my own and with family. Stayed November 2013

Room Tip: Choose a room above the second floor as they are quieter.

The title says it all!! The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is extremely clean, especially the lobby with lovely Balinese touches. The swimming pool was great and whats more, there's a pool bar! The room was lovely with comfortable beds, a nice big tv, and a surprisingly big balcony overlooking the pool. The rooms we had were connecting rooms too-making it great for families. And the Service was absolutely amazing! The staff were perpetually really friendly and sincere and really went all out in helping us remain comfortable at all times. What made this hotel stand out was probably the location which is near the bazaars that offered great looking clothes, accessories, statues etc. The kind security guard even helps to stop traffic to help us cross safely. The breakfast spread was really good and offered both international and local cuisine. The spa was incredible and in one word- flawless. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel to all and I am sure you wouldn't regret it. ;)

Stayed for 3 nights in December 2013 with my 17year old daughter. We slept in a twin bedded room on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the pool. The hotel is extremely well located with good access to markets, Legian and Kuta. The room was beautifully appointed, clean and contemporary with an efficient, quiet air conditioner. The staff were friendly, unobtrusive and very welcoming. The spa service offered an excellent massage with a relaxing, quiet ambience at an unbelievably affordable cost - about Au $12. I would not consider the street based parlours because of the ambience and skill found at the spa - a highlight of our trip! The hotel's restaurant served a well priced and delicious menu, making eating dinner at the restaurant pleasurable and feasible.
The only down side was the noisy room fridge which we simply disconnected at night and reconnected in the morning. Noises of scraping chairs could be heard from the room next door or above, but once people stopped moving around, it was quiet. Would recommend booking a room without breakfast as there are excellent cheap options across the road!

The staffs are well trained, warmth, friendly and extremely welcoming us as their guest. The rooms are very clean and the pool is superb. Food are good as well. The ambience is excellent. The streets are very safe though you are walking alone at night. The bazars surrounding are not bad though it's a bit expensive, Enjoying the night view from the coffee house is extremely comforting.

Room Tip: the room with premier pool is superb. no regrets.

Cannot fault our stay. Early check in no hassle. Stayed in room on 4th floor with view to pool. Room spacious and clean. Staff brilliant. Spa amazing. Well worth spending the extra few dollars to treat yourself. Restaurant fab and great spot to sit and watch what is happening on street below. Definitely go back again. Best tip - book room without breakfast and save heaps.

Rated #1 in Legian on TripAdvisor, this gem of a hotel did not disappoint. The location and service - just brilliant! Friendly hotel staff who are always ready to greet and serve you. A welcome drink is provided upon your arrival and when you depart. The concierge also makes sure you get the right bluebird taxi to bring you to your destination. The hotel/room design is pretty simple but this is not an issue if you don't plan on staying in the hotel all day. The room is spacious with a balcony overlooking the pool. Free WIFI access with no hoops to jump through (another luxury hotel made sure we filled up a membership form before we can get WIFI access).

Dozens of restaurants, bars and convenience stores all around the hotel means you will never go hungry or get bored. Just a ten min walk to Legian beach. I highly recommend you try the babi kuling store across the road if you are game for some local fare.

Stay at this hotel and you wont regret.

Room Tip: I would avoid taking an adjoining room as the walls are thinner and you can hear your neighbour.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It is located centrally in Legian, around many cafes, pubs and local shops. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. The bed is comfortable too. Must try the spa at the hotel.

The breakfast is pretty good. Wide spread of good quality breakfast meals.

Recommended.
