“Very enjoyable stay”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

My friend and I stayed in a twin room for 4 nights in March 2013. The room was spacious, very clean and provided everything we needed. The aircon was fantastic! The staff were ALL exceptionally friendly and helpful. I have stayed in 3 or 4 other hotels in Bali and the staff here really stand out. Breakfast buffet had plenty of choice and the restaurant and bar prices were reasonable as well as tasting great. The location is close to markets, shopping, restaurants etc and a short stroll to the beach.
If you are looking for resort type accommodation this isn't for you however it is one of the best hotel experiences I have had. I would love to go back again and recommend the Magani to family and friends.

Just returned from the 7 nights(march 2013) at the Magani. The staff were so friendly and genuinely interested in us and our two children. They were knowledgeable and able to answer any questions we had and give us advice on taxi's, bartering, restaurants etc. The hotel was spotless, rooms were large and modern with very large comfortable beds. The airconditioning was new, so worked perfectly and was quiet enough to leave on all night. Early evening the staff turn on the bedside lamps and turn down the bed covers which was lovely to come back to after being out. The restaurant was fantastic and the prices about the same as other restaurants rather than hotel prices. Pool and pool staff just so lovely. Great location in the best market area. Only fault I could find if I was being really picky would be that the tiling and especially the grouting of the bathrooms was not of the standard that we see in Australia and looks like it won,t stand the test of time very well. Not the hotels fault just the standard of the tradesmen over there. Spa was great and we had a 2.5 hr couples treatment for $20 each!

My partner & I stayed @ the magani for 6 nights, it was fabulous! We had a premier pool room & did not want to leave. The staff are all lovely & can never do enough to make ur stay fabulous. The food at the resturant is good, well priced & a great selection for breakfast. The hotel is within walking distance to lots of markets resturants & 2 great cheap massage places basically nxt door to the hotel. The 2 for 1 cocktails r great & room service r happy to deliver them to ur room while u swim in ur pool. The staff delivered a bday cake for my partner to our room & sang happy bday to him for his bday.... The only fault we could mention would b the shower tends to flood. Overall a great hotel & we will definatley b back to stay there!!!

This hotel is a great choice for stays in Seminyak/Legian area. The staff are fantastic and so welcoming, the hotel itself is very new so the facilities are lovely and very clean.

The architecture of the hotel is also really nice, all rooms overlooking the lovely pool with very pretty hanging greenery. The breakfast is nice and varied (although the restaurant can be a little warm - no air con) It is across the road from a little market and easy walking distance to the beach.

They have a great pool bar that has a 2 for 1 cocktails happy hour and the rooms are well air conditioned with a good sized balcony (we stayed in a deluxe room).

The only faults I can think of (and i really have to try) is that the shower leaks out onto the bathroom floor a bit and they don't provide robes which would be really handy for chilling by the pool.

This is a really fantastic hotel - 4 or 5 star experience for a 3 star price, they really exceeded our expectations on all levels and we will definitely recommend it to our friends

Room Tip: The deluxe room was really great for a couple despite being the cheaper room. Might be worth noting...

Nice room, excellent service, convenient location. I can see that the owner has put a lot of thoughts on every little detail. Our previous visits to bali had often been spoiled by substandard accomodations. We've spent a lot more at other hotels but so far magani has been the best choice. The only con is the motorcycle noise from the small street next to the hotel at night. Hopefully that can be solved with speed bumps. Other than that our stay at magani was very satisfactory.

Absolutely loved this hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. This is pretty normal for Bali, however have to say the staff here were over and above anything I have ever experienced. We had a Magani Suite which was so spacious and comfortable. I had booked this trip for myself and 16 girlfriends, so I was pretty worried about getting it right, and it was spot on. The location was ideal. Perfect if you would like to stay local and shop in the markets across the road, and great eating spots close by. However getting cabs is a breeze out the front to any location. I would highly recommend to all types of groups. Great work Magani, I will definitely be back!!!!!

Room Tip: If you are looking for a bit of romantic privacy, perhaps don't rent the suites with private poo...
