Very average, place seems to be falling to pieces and the room location wasn't very nice. Had a problem with bugs in the bed then when we got showed another room we could have there was no natural light and the room was very damp and smelled unpleasant. Pools are nice... wifi only works in the pool area and doesn't extend to the rooms. Buffet breakfast was nice.

We recently returned from staying at the Jayakarta apartments in Legian. We initially booked an apartment for two days with Agoda but when we arrived in Bali we decided to book additional days through an onsite agent. The apartments are on the premises of the hotel but guests can make use of the pools and restaurants. As said by previous reviewers, the hotel needs a revamp - paving needs replacing, pools tiling is broken etc.
Given this, the hotel is in a great position - 10 steps out the gate and onto Legian beach. The hotel gardens are really nice and it is nice to walk off the madness of the streets into serenity.
The two apartments we stayed in were serviced daily and the agent responsible for them was extremely friendly and helpful during the time we stayed there - we can thoroughly recommend Nanik. We only ate one meal at the pizzeria next to the swimming pool but while we were there eating, we were the only guests which is a shame (not sure why the hotel doesn't drop their prices and more guests would opt to eat at the restaurants). We also wish that the hotel would enforce their "policy" that towels left on loungers will be removed should people not make use of the lounger within a time period. We had the same problem as many other reviewers where towels are dumped on loungers and people only return after a few hours of shopping.
All in all we would definitely return to the apartments should we ever return to Bali and make once again make use of Nanik.

Room Tip: rooms facing the gardens

If I could give this place 0 rating it would get it! This was the worst place I have ever stayed in Bali and was shocked that something so deplorable even existed! When we arrived I should've turned away immediately and found somewhere else. The taxi by which we arrived was more helpful with our bags. We had to drag all our luggage up 8 stairs and into the lobby with staff looking at us and not even lifting a finger to help! Then trying to check in the staff almost turned us away because they couldn't find our booking and only believed that we were staying there after we showed them copies of our itinerary. We were then put in a room with 2 single beds, even though we had booked a room with a queen bed 4 and a half months prior. After complaining about that they "upgraded" us into an apartment style room, where the air con took 20 mins to change temperature, the toilet flush continuous ran and the balcony we got had 1 chair and 1 table. Not to mention the free water you get everyday is a jug filled from TAP WATER!!!! The staff continued to be unfriendly and unhelpful throughout the 6 days there. On our last day we went to the pool only to find out they had entertainment. All well and good, until the so called "family friendly hotel" started the entertainment in front of children which was "sexy" Brazilian dancing and beer drinking competitions. Not really something I find to be appropriate around the age group of children that were around at 2.30 in the afternoon. At check out the staff didn't ask us about our stay or really say one word apart from, "did you take from the mini bar", the guest card that i left was looked at for 2 seconds torn up and thrown away right in front of me!
All in all AVOID THIS HOTEL AT EVERY COST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: Choose a different hotel!

This was by far the worst hotel that we have stayed at while holidaying in Bali. The staff where every unhelpful- it took us 30 mins to check in to then be put in a room that smelled horrible!! We asked if it was possible to move rooms after checking the internet to find that there were several rooms available. We later asked another staff member whom found us a room with in 5min of looking at the computer, therefore we were lied to by other staff!! however, the room we were put in had poor facilities; the toilet didn't flush and at one point flooded our bath room and the shower water dribbled from the shower head. Upon checking out we found out that we had been charged an extra $100 than what we were quoted when booking as the exchange rate in the hotel was 8875 to the dollar which we were not notified of when paying. We left our baggage with the hotel staff whom hid them with a note regarding the outstanding bill. Furthermore, they charged a 21% government tax and and 10% service tax. The breakfast space was not nearly enough for the amount of people at the hotel. Also if you wanted to eat anything you needed to be up at 7am before the rush or else there would be no food as the staff barely replenished the supply! This treatment ruined our holiday; very disappointed!!

Loved this place. Yes it does need a lick of paint and modernise of appliances etc but at the end of the day all the pros outwayed this. Great buffet breakfast. Beds amongst the most comfy that I slept on. Staff very friendly especially the house keeping staff. The only thing I would have liked would have been a safe in the room. Safes were available at reception 24hrs a day. Gardens were so beautiful and three good sized pools. We would recommend this to anyone. Great hotel in a fantastic location.

We stayed here Feb 2013, staff were very welcoming - even helped me order Maccas. Breakfast was Delicious, even had Vegemite that was greatly missed. Pools were lovely, private beach frontage was quiet. Close to Laundry Services nearby which were far cheaper. Also close to shops and markets. About 30 min walk to Kuta along the beach.
Overall 4/5 Stars.

Room Tip: Location excellent, a lot more quiet compared to Kuta, but still only a 10 min cab ride into Kuta.

This hotel is set in a great location and has a great pool area and grounds. Situated right on the beach with shops and restaurants just outside its gates. I have stayed at hotel 3 times now but unfortunately the standards have dropped in recent years.

Staff are not very friendly or helpful however I believe that this is due to the business of the hotel. The cleanliness of the rooms was very poor and decor is tired. We were checked into a room that was in a disgraceful state and advised that our second room would not be ready until 6pm. Service at the restaurant was also very slow.

I am afraid that I will not be returning again!
