The Jayakarta Bali Beach Resort

We stayed in apartment 6311 residence A, owned by an Aussie, contact is 8 degrees Apartments on website. Very nicely renovated, with stylish furniture and very comfy bed, flat screen, dvd player, books and dvds to use while staying at the Apartment. Great location within the resort, nice beachfront property with lots of places to eat out around and in the resort. We enjoyed our stay here, the apartment is fresh and tasteful. Legion was busy and if your thinking of staying in the area and want a cheaper apartment but with all the mod cons and comforts then this is a wise choice. Legion was bursting with activities however we preferred other areas of Bali and we loved Nusa Lembongan, we would not return to Legion to stay over however the APARTMENT 6311 was value for money and we were not dissappointed.

Room Tip: private apartment 6311 booked thru Aussie owner at 8 degrees website.

Great place to stay was clean enough kids had a ball in the pools lovely gardens a great place to eat is not only in the hotel which you can barter for your meals but also a place called the tropic which is on the first street on the left as you come out on the street side great entertainment for kids and adults do get a safety deposit box as some of kids toys did get taken but think it was from the electrition not cleaning staff. The staff are lovely my one advise would be to hire a driver yourself or only get bluebird cabs and make sure they have the meter running. All in all i would stay there again had a fantastic time.

The location of this hotel was great. Close to the beach, and close to many restaurants and shops in the Legian area. The pool area (2 pools) were quite nice and it over looked the beach. It says beachside, but there is a road inbetween the hotel and beach (local road only, more walkers and bikes). The rooms were not great, quite grotty and old I thought. One thing I hated was that there was not a safe in the room. If i knew that before I would have been put off straight away. Also you get water everyday in your room, but it is not bottled water, it is just in a jug. Can't say I felt easy about drinking from that! The food at breakfast was good and the staff were good, but I wouldn't stay there again, and wouldn't recommend it to friends.

i was rent a 3 bedroom apartment with 6 friends, stay for 3 days. the size of room was great, a bit old, huge balcony facing the garden and pool with sliding door window so the air can easily enter the room. they have 3 pools and private beach which was amazing...!! the staff were very nice, they have shuttle bus every an hour to go to Kuta beach, the breakfast was very great. cleanliness may be a bit issue for me because some corridor hotels are not clean enough. however, all fantastic.

Stayed there for 2 weeks last month ,the first room we were given was disgraceful, sheets were grey so were the towels and the room needed a good clean so complained and we changed to not much better but a little bigger the hotel needs a major overhaul and use some bleach in bathrooms, its very old and smell damp ,the breaky okay but the same everyday ,the only good thing is the pool and the location opposite the beach .I definatly wont be going back there !!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: Stay in the apartments

The apartment section of the Jayakarta provides 1-3 bedroom self-contained units.
The hotel section is your standard bedsit unit.
We've stayed here a number of times over the past 4 years & have always found the serviced apartments the perfect home in Bali. On the beach & close to the key shopping/dining areas of Legian,Seminyak & Kuta.
As with all of south Bali the main drawback is the traffic -narrow streets, maniacs on motorbikes 24/7.
Get away on your day trips early [7.30-8.00am] to beat the rush. Trips to Ubud, Singarajah, temples, Paddies & volcano/waterfalls are cheap. Negotiate a price & pickup point the day before with a driver, & $10/person is the maximum going rate for the day in an A/c van.

Room Tip: Apartments floors 3-5, beach facing.
