We have stayed at the Padma before but this was the first time with a 5 month old baby. The staff were amazing (as always) and so accommodating, They are renovating and soon adding family rooms, the minimal noise was no inconvenience to our enjoyment. We stayed in a lagoon view room (1st time we usually stay in a deluxe chalet) and we were very happy in the lagoon room, there was enough space for us and the baby we then moved to a deluxe chalet (I had booked it this way) We also hired from bali baby hire and the staff at the Padma happily organised for all the equipment to be ready in our room and ensured all items were collected once we had checked out. We used hotel babysitters once bub was asleep who were great, we also took bub to the kids club in the day staying with her as she loves other kids and all the staff in the kids club were lovely. The breakfast was great lots of variety. We look forward to saving and going back next year.

Room Tip: If you like to be in a quieter area choose a deluxe chalet.

Stayed at this amazing resort with my wife and 2 girls (8 & 5), late June early July for 12 nights. It was our first stay and certainly wont be our last. Firstly the staff are brilliant, customer service personified, always there to assist and nothing was too much. We stayed in a Premium room near the lagoon which is a great size room for 4 however, we decided to move into 2 adjoining rooms with direct access to the lagoon which was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was insane, so many things to choose from couldn't keep the girls away from the pancakes, waffles and freshly squeezed juices. A very family friendly resort, my only criticism (and I'm being picky) is that the staff would constantly ask you during breakfast to attend one of the theme nights for dinner. Did become annoying after the 3rd time. The kids club was good and very accommodating, our girls enjoyed the art and craft activities. Till next time, keep up the good work.

The Padma is fantastic!! We had a discounted 'renovation' pool view room - and we were not disturbed by any noise. The staff are friendly and helpful, the massage at the spa was the best ever and the breakfast is amazing. The large pool near the ocean was our favourite spot to relax and enjoy great food and cocktails. Rooms are very clean with good toiletries. Gardens are beautiful. The surf out the front was also great. We will be back.

Recently stayed at the Padma June 2014 - service is fantastic, gardens and surrounds are second to none and the buffet breakfast caters to everyone from all walks of life. Location is perfect with several good restaurants and friendly bars within a short walk, without being right in the very middle of Kuta. The only problem was for my daughter to decide which of the pools to swim in !!! Will definitely be going back .

Room Tip: All rooms are well laid out and accessible to everything - the direct pool access rooms looked aweso...

This was our first trip to Bali and we were pleased that we chose the Padma as our home away from home. I travelled with my 2 daughters (aged 12 & 14) so location, security and comfort were high on the agenda. The Padma Legian as all reviewers have said in previous posts is a fantastic, well organised, family friendly and perfectly located resort. Staff are very accommodating and always had a smile on their face. The breakfast buffet was huge and catered for all and even though we didn't stay for any of the themed dinners, we had many a lunch/snack by the pool and the food was always delicious. The mango smoothies at the swim up bar were devine! We ventured out most nights for dinner to many of the cheap eateries nearby and I have to say our favorite was the "Indo National" and also had a few nice meals at "Drops" in Jl Padma. We had a deluxe room in the hotel section on Level 2 at the rear of the property and although the room was very well appointed and very comfortable I would suggest if you are a light sleeper like myself maybe consider staying in a chalet. We had noisy neighbours next door and above that decided midnight and 5am were an ideal time to make noise. The construction site is near the lagoon pool but certainly did not cause any disruption to us during our stay and we spent most of our time at the Lagoon Pool. The beach is directly out the front and was very clean during our stay. We didn't swim there as it was quite rough but a little further up towards Seminyak it was an ideal swimming spot with lifeguards patrolling. Overall we had a great time at the Padma and hope to return again someday!

Room Tip: If you can afford the upgrade to a chalet I would recommend!

3rd stay at the Padma and the quality has not diminished. Great breakfast choice, excellent service, large rooms, fantastic position. For those with young children added value, kids club is one of the few that start at 2 yrs of age and 2-3 yr olds have their own separate program to older kids. The kids club staff are not only friendly and interactive but very astute to kids that maybe unwell or not enjoying themselves. Have stayed at many places in Bali but you cannot go past the padma for a great family experience.

Room Tip: ground level rooms are better for those with young children

We have travelled to Bali several times over the last 20 years and have stayed at various hotels. This was our first time to the Padma Resort.
The rooms are large and comfortable, the service is great, the buffet breakfast is sensational good for the holiday waiste line) it is ideally located for the shoppers. The tepenyaki night was well worth it.
The staff are one of the greatest assest they have and always helpful.
I would definitely recommend the Padma to Bali travellers however it depends on what you want from your hotel and how much you want to spend, if you want the authenitc Bali look and feel then maybe try somewhere else, if you want to add some western comfort, this is well and truly up on the list of of places to stay.
Our only down side was the noise from the construction that is currently going on near one of the pools and the computer system crashed right at peak hour when everyone was checking out .....
