“Great wheel chair help at Padma”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

We are currently at the Padma, having arrived on the 17 th. we had booked a ground floor room as our son is in a wheel chair and on arrival we were given a ground floor room, unfortunately there were 5 stairs leading to the room. We were offered another room but my sister was in the room next door and we really didn't want to move, so decided we would just have to manage the stairs.

The next morning four men turned up and by the afternoon we had a ramp to our room. Such service was unexpected but greatly appreciated. The Padma is such a great place to stay and is accessible except for the few stairs to the Sunset Bar and to the beach. We look forward to the Padma putting ramps in there prior to our return in June. It really is a wonderful a place to stay. thank you Padma.

Room Tip: All rooms are good, it's worth upgrading to the club status which includes transfer to and from...

We were four friends travelling to Bali for 10 nights staying at the Padma. I’ve been to Bali many times but have never stayed here before……we were all thoroughly impressed.
We were given interconnecting Deluxe Chalet rooms, which were just lovely and so spacious. The bedding was very comfortable and the option of choosing a suitable pillow from the pillow menu was an added bonus.
The buffet breakfast was just amazing, so much appetising food to choose from.
Noting is too much trouble for the staff here, always very helpful and happy to greet you with their welcoming smiles.
Will definitely stay here again, may even bring the family next time :)

Staff at this hotel seemed focused on ensuring the guest was comfortable and welcome. I received an email prior to arrival asking what type of pillows I would like and offering an airport pickup service if you stay 2 nights. The breakfast had a large selection of different foods that was well stocked and plentiful. The room must have been refurbished at some stage as it was modern, very clean and comfortable. There is a router in each room ensuring very good wifi internet service and the internet is available throughout the hotel and at the pool. This hotel had the best internet I have experienced at any hotel in Bali. The bathroom was really nice with a big bathtub and the bathroom had a "spa" look about it. There is also a sliding mirrored door where the bathroom can be opened so the bathroom and bedroom is one room. The idea of a sliding glass mirrored door is so much better than the glass walls with a pull down blind that we are starting to see in many hotels now which I personally do not like at all. The air-conditioner worked very effectively and was quiet. 4 quite large sized bottles of drinking water were provided each day for free. The room had a nice balcony and my view was the pool below and trees in front which had some squirrels jumping between the trees, very tropical looking. I thought the food was a little on the expensive side for Bali prices but is still reasonable when compared to other places. The pool at Padma is very big, has a swim up bar, lots of private areas and is probably the feature of the hotel. This hotel would be especially good for those who want to spend their holiday relaxing around the pool. The hotel looked to be also quite kid-friendly with a small pool under a waterfall for younger children. Staff ordered good service throughout all areas of the hotel during my stay. There is also a basic departure lounge for people who check out but have evening flights with a TV, showers and tea & coffee making facilities. I would definitely stay here again,

I have just returned from the Padma after spending 7 nights with my two adult children. We had two Deluxe Chalet rooms. The rooms were spacious, with a lovely bathroom, huge shower and very comfortable beds. The resort is beautifully maintained, with friendly helpful staff throughout. We used the pool closest to the beach which was never crowded and there were more sunlounges than I've ever seen at any resort. The buffet breakfast was great as were the themed night buffets. The beach is front was ok, my son surfs so he found it perfect, but I didn't find it very inviting. We did a trip with a driver from the hotel ($45 for the day0 to Uluwatu, Padang Padang beach, Dreamlandland Beach and the Nammos Beach Club. Nammos Beach club is a must, stunning views, beautiful Beach. We loved the Padma, it was perfect.

Room Tip: Upstairs Chalet Rooms have a very nice balcony

Our family of five (children aged 11, 8 and 5) spent five nights at the end of January 2013 in a Family Deluxe Chalet. The interconnecting rooms worked well, were of a good size, beds very comfortable and the bathrooms (in particular the shower) were very spacious. Unfortunately our rooms were next to the road and although we couldn't see the road we could at times hear the traffic noises. I would recommend requesting a room away from the road.
The location was good if you like to be close to Kuta and Seminyak.
Overall we found the resort to be good value and in particular it wasn't too expensive to eat and drink at the hotel. It certainly has everything you would expect to find at a large resort - variety of restaurants, a great buffet breakfast, a well equipped fitness centre, lovely gardens and large pools. Unfortunately, in our opinion the Patra didn't have the atmosphere that we have enjoyed at other places we have stayed in Bali.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the road.

Nothing but great things to say. We stayed for a week in a family chalet. Perfect setup for our family of 5.. The rooms have dvd players which is great given the amount of dvd sellers surrounding the hotel, perfect for a quiet night in. Wonderful staff, always smiling and on hand for any queries, great breakfast buffet, and stunning gardens and good value. Will definitely be back again.
