The grounds are lovely but our room was lacking. No armchairs in which to relax had to sit on the bed. The fridge was bare and coffee making facilities were wanting. Bathroom was clean and large.
Not to our taste to commercial with a buffet breakfast, yuk. over 400 rooms to many families. If you are a couple wanting a romantic or quiet holiday I would not recommend the Padma.

Room Tip: Make certain your room is not near the swimming pools to many kids. Also try to stay on the top floo...

Dear Valued Reviewer,

Greetings from Padma Resort Bali!

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of our resort on TripAdvisor. I’m sorry to hear that your recent experience with us wasn’t up to your expectations.

We’ve eliminated stocked mini bar long time ago and leaving the fridge empty for our guest to use for their own items. However, mini bars can be re-stocked upon request.

I appreciate your view of our resort and I hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to our resort should you change your mind.

Kindly Regards,

My partner and I took a trip to Bali my first time and his third time, where do I begin???
This resort is amazing!!!! The main pool is massive and there is still the lagoon pool which is just as big both with swim up bars 5 restaurants beautiful gardens an ponds every where with fish in them. We only booked the standard room but it was perfect cosy and modern. All the staff from the reception to the cleaners to the food and beverage tendents were extremly friendly best customer service we have ever had. If your goin to Bali this is the place to stay central to everything good 4 couples family's and every 1, central to everything security on entry very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
Also the hotel does money exchange at the reception, we ended up getting a better rate at the hotel then we did at the bank in Australia so keep that in mind and get your money changed at the hotel it only takes 1 minute
Love love love this place really want to go back would recommend to every1

We were meant to stay 4 nights at the Padma but only stayed 1 and checked out early.

The staff were rude and insisted we paid for our whole 4 nights upfront at check-in. I have never been asked to do this in any hotel in the world before. Then they called us at 9.30pm and woke us up to tell us that they had undercharged us $3 and we had to go and pay it straight away... We said no we would pay it in the morning. When we woke up there was a note under our door telling us to pay it straight away.

Our room (a pool view) smelt REALLY bad. We called housekeeping and they said there was no smell and put a humidifier in our room that was so noisy and made no difference. The room smelt of mould and damp.

The hotel was so noisy, no peace by the pool or in bed. All you can hear all night is doors slamming and children crying. Plus the rooms are tiny. THis hotel is ridiculously overpriced.

Breakfast was very average. Just your standard tins of baked beans and deep fried hash browns.

On a positive note the lagoon pool was lovely and the gardens are really pretty. THe bed was huge and comfy. If you like Legian then it is in a good location. We hated Legian and moved back up to Seminyak pretty quickly.

Loved it here. Will be back!!!
We stayed here with friends and family. We had a interconnecting room on the 3rd level 3 kids 2 adults. It may seem a bit costly with other hotels, though its well worth a visit. The restaurants within the hotel are very yummo, kids eat free under a certain age12? the sunset bar is great. We have been to Bali quite a few times in the last 6 years its the first time my 9 year old has wanted to go to kids club. which was really nice. They had a Disco party one night which started at 5-8. (about that time) so we were happy if she was happy. The location was great.

Stayed for 7 nights Nov 2012 Booked a lagoon view room at this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary so thought it would be nice going on the reviews. The overall hotel is nice but I think there is better value for your money.

Pros
Free wifi which was fast
Good breakfast
Staff were always lovely
Big safe for your valuables
Big flat screen TV with DVD player

Cons
Expensive hotel transfers $10USD pp vs blue bird taxi 30,000rupiah
Air con wasn't always working in our room
No hot water so Luke warm showers for most nights
Food was on the expensive side and nothing really flash
Mandira Day Spa was very expensive and massages are only 50mins instead of the usual 60min offered at other hotels

Glad we tried somewhere different but won't stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Padma for a week and really enjoyed it. The hotel is huge and has everything you need. Our room was really comfortable with large flatscreen TV with over 20 channels, bathroom which opened up and you could have a soak in the bathtub whilst watching TV, dressing table, chair etc and it overlooked the lagoon pool which was probably 150 metures long, and I fell in love with. It was lit up everynight and I swam every chance I could, even at midnight and I noticed guests are quiet when swimming at night so it wasn't noisy. The pool has bridges going over it, water features and is one of the best I've ever swum in. The other pool at the hotel was huge and closer to the beach, and both had swim up bars. The hotel grounds are huge with lush plants and water features, artwork, statues and fish ponds everywere. You could eat just about anything you wanted at breakfast as it was all available with some lovely live chiming music being played every morning. Guests were mixed, with young and older couples, families and friends, and guests were more international (not just Australians). The hotel food and drinks were expensive compared to other hotels and of course outside the hotel. The hotel is on Legian beach but the only drawback is that you can only see the beach from a few deckchairs, outside bar and one of the restaurants at the front of the hotel so as you walk around the hotel, swim in the pools, etc you don't even feel like you are right on the beach.

We visited Padma again in Oct/Nov 2012 (visited in April 2012 also) and as far as we are concerned it is the only place to stay, the property is huge and well looked after. The staff and service were exceptional as always. Our room was upgraded, which was a pleasant surprise. The location is great, you can wander around Legian, or walk north to Seminyak or south to Kuta.

We'll definitely be back again.

Room Tip: Garden Chalets are definitely more spacious than the standard deluxe room, with a better outlook and...
