“Padma meets all expectations and lives up to the reviews”
Reviewed April 11, 2011

Been to Bali many many times but its the 1st time we have stayed at The Padma - the year before we stayed across the road at the Mandira - which was also nice.
Huge breakfast selections/variety, helpful and friendly staff - even acknowledged my birthday with a cake in the room.
Loved the fact that where you get your pool towel, you could also borrow magazines, board games, pool toys and also had provisions of sunscreen and mozzie spray
Everything clean and inviting - would definatly stay here again.

A wonderful place to stay! Alot of varieties for breakfast - from japanese dishes to western dishes ! you name it they got it :) Hotel is very Balinese :) friendly staff !
Hotel is very close to the beach and shops ! Would recommend people to stay at this wonderful hotel :)
Kuta Square is approximately 10-15 minutes away from the hotel by car or you could just use a cab to get there which would cost you Rp20.000 - which is super cheap ! Btw remember to use meter cab so you wouldnt get riped off ! :)

My partner and I and 3 friends stayed at The Padma for 8 days at the end of March. The resort is beautifully maintained and still has that Balinese feeling which is missing with some of the newer built resorts. Although the resort was very busy while we were there it seemed to accommodate everyone without feeling like space was an issue. Some of us stayed in the Deluxe Chalets and one of the group stayed in a deluxe room which were both well facilitated. The breakfasts are the best I have every had at any Asian hotel. I normally stay at The Niksoma but would have to say The Padma's rooms have been better maintained. I love the staff at The Niksoma but I do hope they give their deluxe rooms an update soon.

Room Tip: Lagoon access rooms seem to lack privacy

Stayed in poolside room 141 for one week. Great room and amenities, fabulous to be able to just fall into the pool.
Great extras such as exclusive breakfast area, free cocktails etc. Staff were all wonderful, helpful and friendly.
Rooms a little noisy but luckily we did not have noisey neighbours.
If you don't like kids then this is not the hotel for you. Lots of young (noisey) kids in and around the poolside rooms- many parents do not take control of their kids for the sake of people who do not want to listen to kids screaming and taking up seats at the pool bar.
If you are booking poolside room then ask for one down near 141 as some of the early 100 rooms open directly onto kids pool play area and bar area.

Spent 4 nights at Padma as part of our honeymoon in a deluxe chalet room. Absolutely loved everything about this resort, it just had a great vibe. The rooms and grounds are all very well cared for, the facilities - pools, fitness centre, restaurants, sunset lounge are among the best I've ever experienced. Location was perfect for us, right on the beach with tons of shops, bars etc outside the gates with just enough distance from Kuta. I would definitely stay here again.

We just returned from a 7 night visit to Bali staying at the Padma in Legian, this is a gorgeous resort which ticked all the box's we had a standard room which was very spacious, clean and comfortable we especially loved the shower with its huge shower head and great pressure all very clean and well put together, dvd player in the room had plenty of use, no issues with the air con, the only thing I can say was a slight drawback was that our room had a door connecting it to the next room which would be good if we had our kids in the next room but on this occasion it was a couple young girls who like to party and it got a little noisy a few times but nothing so major we had to complain I mean lets face it we have all partied at one time or another.
The resort is huge and opens out onto the beach there are a couple pools both are huge and great with pool bars in both there is plenty of deck chairs so you are never lacking for a place to lay by the pool either in the shade or the sun. The grounds are especially nice lots of water features with fish in them and often food is left out so that you or the children can feed the fish. Heaps of sculptures and free Internet is also a plus the buffet breakfast was wonderful and had something for everyone and the staff were always very helpful. The departure lounge is located in the fitness center and was great for us as our flight was not until 10pm so we spent the day hanging out by the pool then we showered up and relaxed in the lounge till we needed to go to the airport.
The Padma is located amongst a thriving shopping area that also had plenty of restaurants and beauty spa's within walking distance - our preference was the Luna Spa we paid 60,000 for a 1 hour Bali massage careful to ask for a medium or soft massage or you could end up with bruises cos the hard massage is not for the fainthearted.
I cant comment of the restaurants in the resort as we didn’t get a chance to go to any we were so busy going elsewhere although we did do a steak s/which to the room one night and it was very nice huge in fact.
We did not have our children this trip but we did go to check out the kids club for next visit and it looked great also I will note that the baby sitting service was 50,000 Baht per hour which is really cheap.
All in all a great experience w e would stay there again - it was a great base for us so we could wander around Legian go to Kuta, Ubud, Seminyak etc.
