We booked directly with the hotel and got the romance package which included a free upgrade, a romantic dinner, a couples massage, airport transfer and 4 cocktails. I found this hotel great value for money. We stayed in garden bungalow 12A which was in a fantastic location, close to the pool as well as the breakfast area. The room was very clean - We have been to Bali many times and this is the cleanest room we have ever had(even though this was one of the cheaper places we have stayed at). The bed was really comfy - the pillows are quite flat (which we love) and the mattress was firm with a really soft topper. The aircon worked well. I loved the chairs and sun lounger on our verandah - even comes with an overhead fan to keep you cool! We were right outside the squirrel feeding tree so we had a fantastic view from our verandah and enjoyed sitting there. The bathroom is quite large and I loved the frosted glass window to the garden - at night with the light coming through the shadow of the plants looked really pretty. Breakfast was good. It had a wide selection of food and was replenished frequently. Poached eggs and the option of both crispy and non crispy bacon were appreciated. We were in low season so there was always plenty of tables with nice views. Coffee isn't fantastic - in fact it was pretty horrible but that was the only negative.

The pools are great. The adults only pool is a bit small but as it was low season it was never crowded. There were plenty of sun loungers - although finding one with shade was a bit difficult at times. The only negative would be that its hard for the staff to see when you raise the flag. The gorgeous trees and umbrellas blocked their view and I often just ended up walking to them and asking for the menus. Once you had a menu they were quick to take your order.

My favourite place would be the loungers at the front of the hotel near Ole bar. The view is just gorgeous. The food at the restaurants was O.K. - not fantastic but certainly edible. They are fantastic with food allergies. With the taxes they are a bit pricey considering the price range of the hotel.

We only used the spa once - and this was the complementary massage. It was fantastic - I was a bit worried as the reception area isn't air conditioned but thankfully the rooms where you get your massage are.

Staff were amazing. Very friendly and helpful My husband is allergic to shellfish which they found out when we booked our romantic dinner and they remembered that. We never got to have the dinner as hubby got sick so they let me just eat in the restaurant for free. They also were very accommodating with late checkout.

We loved the location - so close to so many restaurants and spas. The hotel is right opposite the beach so you could sit on a bean bag at the beach and enjoy a bintang while watching the sunset.
