“Definitely staying again.”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

First time we have stayed at The Legian Beach bungalows and we loved every minute of our stay. The location, food, cocktails and service was fantastic. The rooms and Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Only complaint would be the pool and pool bar closes way to early. Definitely planning on staying there again.

A good hotel with a good location right on the beach at Legian with many restaurants and shops in the same street. The hotel has a great buffet breakfast also with chefs cooking fresh eggs, omelettes and pancakes. Worth trying out the spacious pool villas for some extra privacy. Friendly and efficient staff.

Room Tip: Try the bungalows one row back from the main pool. Absolutely no noise at night.

The rooms were fantastic wonderfully cleaned, it's hard to fault this hotel. Staff were friendly, and nice, Pools were great, access to beach easy and great, of course there are always your usual hassles on the beach. But this is a place you can escape to easily.

Our first impressions of a well run comfortable hotel, was without doubt consistent the whole time we were there. An excellent location and a very looked after infrastructure rewarded by the way all the staff were so happy and efficient. The excellent breakfast with unlimited choice was only surpassed by the menu at the poolside restaurant with a marvellous view over the sea. The Legian Beach Hotel is certainly on our list to return to. We highly recommend this establishment for any family or business traveller hoping to enjoy the beautiful Bali.

Room Tip: Highly recommend the garden bungalow.

This hotel is an older one with room and bungalow accommodations. We stayed in a bungalow, garden view, which we though was good and comfortable. The grounds are well looked after and the two pools are good. We enjoyed the beach side bar pool most days and the beach lounges overlooking the walk way and beach area.
In comparison to the Padma the pools were smaller, rooms not as new but I still enjoyed the location of the bar pool better than the Padma. I like to look around and over to the beach, at the Padma both pool locations are boxed in with no view, except the hotel and rooms.
The breakfast is good, not the variety of the Padma but everything you would want and an added bonus of the pancake/waffle section, plus great views overlooking Legian beach.
Staff were great very helpful, as usual in Bali.
The location on Melasti Street is great, allot of bars and restaurants in any direction and plenty of spa places. The hotels spa was wonderful if you want to pay the prices. Your just around the corner from Padma Street.
All up I could not justify the extra $500 the Padma would have cost for the same 5 days accommodations.
I did notice that the Mandira opposite the Padma and next to Legian Beach was having the front lagoon pool renovated, this might be one to look at when that pool is finished.
Over all if you want large pools, modern accommodations (doesn't bother us you only sleep in the rooms) extra touches then maybe stick to Padma, Legian Beach is good value for money in comparison.

We had a cottage, so this is not a review for the hotel.

The cottages lie in a beautiful garden. The two pools are great. Everything is well maintained by the gardeners. The hotel has two restaurants, one in the garden and one by the sea. Both restaurant are very good. There is live music almost daily and once a week there is a Balinees diner with Barong dance. We enjoyed the two weeks we were there.
One warning: Do not be tempted by the staff for a tour. We have done this, but this was really dangerous because the driving skills of this gentleman (we will not mention his name) was very bad.

This is the best reosrt in Bali. We stayed for 4 nights in a deluxe garden bunglow. We arrived at noon and got our room immediately. The check in was very fast with the staff explaning everything about the resort and its facilities. The room was very nice with king size bed and equipped with all modern facilies including a flat screen LCD tv. The garden outside the room was beautiful and you have a private terrace where you can enjoy this beautiful garden view. The service of the hotel was amazing. All the staff were very friendly and helpful with everything. As honeymooners they surprised is after check in with amazing cake and flowers. We also received complimentry drinks. The location of the hotel is the best. The hotel is situated on the beachfront in legian between kuta and seminyak so very easy to go anywhere. The two pools of the hotel were amazing with jacuzzi and swim up bar. Food in the restaurants were excellent as well. We had dinner at the beachfront restaurant and also japanese tepanyaki that was included in our booking. Overall it was a great experience and I have only positive things to say about this hotel. It has the best service, best beachfront location with beautiful landscape garden and pools. I would recommend eveyone who comes as couples, family or friends to stay in legian beach resort.

Room Tip: It is worth paying a bit more to get a deluxe garden banglow. The experience is completely different...
