Stayed her for 7 nights, lovely place to stay, rooms very clean, staff very pleasant, good location. Easy to get to either Legian or Seminyak, Would definitely stay her again. Another great holiday in Bali.

Room Tip: Stay on ground floor, most rooms open out to pool.

I stayed here for one night, after miss booking at another hotel. It was easy to find, there is a great cheap and clean message place across the street to and to the left (as you exit) The hotel is off the road a bit so there was never a noise problem. The room was clean and with a view down to the pool. It included a fridge to keep our cold drinks from the store. We didn't eat there however we always noticed people down there eating. The staff was very polite and watched our bags from check out till we needed to catch out flight. I'd for sure stay here again :)

We visited Ananta hotel in February, we had one of the best rooms right in front of the pool, only 2 meters far from the water!Although the pool is not as deep as i prefer, i could sit on the underwater stools at the pool bar-totally enjoyable-having drinks there!Everyday the room was very clean and i appriciated that we had always one small bottle of water,on the house, right next to our bed, we never became thirsty! The personnel is great, very smily, happy and helpful!Especially at the reception, when i wondered why i had lost some of my money, they explained to me that i had done a mistake by changing money in the small shops-offices in the local streets.I asked for their help, so the security man followed me and with his kind help i took back all my stolen money.Very honest of them and i thank them once again!Very good is the restaurant of the hotel!Although breakfast was very local for my western taste, the variety was good enough, but for the a la carte menu i have to say great job-in five days i ate there 4 times in very normal prices!Thank you, the Greeks.

We recently stayed at the Ananta Legian for 3 nights. The hotel is very modern and definitely lives up to the photo's especially the reception area. The rooms are nicely furnished but very small. Whilst we enjoyed our stay, if your looking for a peaceful retreat, this probably isn't your hotel. It will definitely fit the bill for young aussies, looking for a party post. We chose to upgrade to a room beside the pool but we didn't account for the swim-up bar (go for the cheaper rooms upstairs). As expected, the swim-up bar was a popular place to hang out and unfortunately as our room was right outside the bar, the music went on into the night! Good music though, just a bit much when your looking to chill out!
The breakfast is pretty average and gets really warm in summer as it's downstairs with no air-conditioning. We chose to go out for breaky and went to the Bali Bakery each morning - awesome!
Definitely a pretty central location though, and it is easy to flag down a taxi at the 66 on the corner.

Room Tip: If you want some peace and quiet, choose a room on an upper floor!

We stayed at the Ananta for eight nights in February - my husband and I and our two friends. When we checked in they had two double rooms and one twin room set aside for us. We had requested three double rooms, so our two friends decided to upgrade to the poolside rooms at an extra $40AU per night. The staff were more than happy to accommodate this. My husband and I had a double room on the 5th floor - the smoking floor. Being non-smokers, we found the room had a really strong smell of smoke and by the second day it was making me feel sick. The windows were non-opening (for safety reasons I understand) and so there was no way of letting any fresh air in. After my husband spoke to the staff they moved us to a room on the third floor with no trouble whatsoever. This room was much better, but I still would have liked to be able to open the windows and let in the lovely evening breeze. All rooms face the magnificent pool area with swim-up bar, and our friends thought it was well-worth the upgrade to a room with direct pool access. We thought it may have been a bit noisier down there, but they didn't mind.
The buffet breakfast was sensational - everything you can imagine and changing every day. My husband loved the egg station where they cooked your eggs to order. We made a lot of use of the pool bar and found all the staff in the hotel extremely friendly and accommodating. They all went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We ordered room service a couple of times and the food was reasonably priced and good quality. We never ate at the restaurant, but it seems nobody else did either - it was always empty apart from at breakfast time.
My only disappointment was that the rooftop bar was still under construction - due to open the week after we left. This was not made clear during the booking process. The pool bar closes at 8pm, so I think when the rooftop bar opens it will be the place to be in the evenings. We look forward to this on our next stay at Ananta.

Room Tip: Pool-side rooms if you like fresh air and don't mind the noise during the afternoon.

Our first arrival was very poor. Staff were very welcoming and nice, well spoken English, just the occupants around us were the down poor. It felt like a SCHOOLIES hotel full of bogans. We stayed in the Deluxe room- very small, uncomfortable mountain pillows. Roof top bar was under construction getting renovated, so make sure all the facilities are available to you before you make the booking. My partner and i paid for 6 nights but only stayed 2, we hated it that much we had to leave. NO REFUND, worst experience so far.

Room Tip: no comment.

For our first holiday to Bali, we booked two nights in the Ananta as a "we'll see where we'll go from here". Well, those two nights were quickly extended to five. A great location, lovely staff, comfy beds...
We genuinely enjoyed our stay. Having said that, I'm not sure the same would apply if the hotel had been fully booked. It could already sometimes be a bit crowded, so not sure how that works during peaks.
Little detail that I really liked was the wash line in the bathroom, ideal for drying your swimwear!
