“10 days in Bali”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2011

We loved this hotel. We stayed for 9 nights Jan 2011 (friends and teens) and this hotel was perfect for us all. The position was fantastic - way nicer than Kuta but only 25,000 rps to get there by Bluebird taxi if you choose. We particularly liked the infinity pool, the rooftop bar/restaurant and the spa. Yes you can find cheaper spa's outside the hotel but it is immaculate and the treatments are wonderful with superior products used. And yes eating in the hotel is more expensive that out of it but it is still cheaper than Perth, great food (especially TAO's) and good when you've had a big day shopping, swimming or rafting and cant be bothered going out. And you are on holiday....The teens loved the room service....The staff are amazing and always smiling, chatty and happy. The rooms are large and the beds huge with Aussie plugs, hairdryer, safe and free bottled water in the rooms....which we really appreciated. If you do need something housekeeping (more clothes hangers) they are only too happy to oblige. We walked into Seminyak and Kuta from the hotel....the humidity was surprisingly ok in Jan...though as I said taxis to both are very cheap. In seminyak the restaurant Ultimos cant be missed its fantastic. We booked the Ubud White water rafting with the concierge and it was fantastic (not for those who cant climb stairs though)... I hadn't been to Bali for ten years and now I am hoping to return to the Camakila later this year...

Our holiday at the Ramada Camakila was most enjoyable. The friendliness of the staff, the high level of service, the promptness of fulfilling requests and the exceptional quality of the food at both restaurants are things that we have rarely experienced at other hotels in Bali.
It is very obvious that the staff at the hotel have a professional pride in their work and we understand that this has contributed to the enjoyment of our holiday.
I would highly recommend this Motel to any of my friends that would be going to Bali.
Legian area is the best area to stay, with an abundance of shopping and you are less likely to be harrassed by traders.

Just got back from a 2 nights stay in this hotel, i will say is it is a very clean and spacious hotel, staff are friendly and efficient, i left one of my hand luggage behind when we were on our way to airport, they ring our driver (hotel transport) and ask whether it was our belonging, and they even send another driver to drop the hand luggage to us, that is what i call good service.
Breakfast was not as good as i was expected , the bacon was tough as boots ,in the room the water in the shower was not hot enough, for by the time u fill up the tub the water is already cold. ,over all this is a nice hotel

Didn't really know what to expect from hotel after reading reviews but was pleasently surprised when arriving at hotel. Arriving 5 hours before check-in we were allowed to leave luggage in secured room and use hotel facilities until room was ready.
Allowed to check in 3 hours early.

Staff at hotel were very friendly, breakfast was great with alot of variety every morning. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Enjoyed our lazy days by the pools but enjoyed the infinity pool the most as it was alot cooler and quieter during the day.

Hotel is right in the centre of good restuarants along the beach with a lot of variety and still not to far away from the hustle of Kuta or shopping in Seminyak. Over all very impressed with the hotel and will definately stay again next time when staying in Legian.

Just returned from our 2nd stay at Ramada Camakila, the first being in Feb this year.
Hotel has maintained its stylish, immaculate appearance. Improvements have been made in terms of entertainment and a poolside pizza menu, both of which were good.
Would still be reluctant to stay here at peak times only because if the hotel was full I still doubt that there would be enough sunlounges for all guests. Having said that, the number of sunlounges at the infinity pool has increased which was a complaint last stay.
We requested a ground floor room with direct pool access which was great. We were able to enjoy the hotels night time entertainment from our balcony before going out for dinner. We didn't find the ground floor rooms noisy, although we were up fairly early.
Location is great, highly recommed Lanai restaurant, along the beach for lunch, sushi there is fab.
Not sure how suitable this hotel is for families with young children but perfect for couples or older children.
Gym is small but adequate, equipped with treadmill (was not working well during our stay), bike, cross trainer and mimimal weights but there is a fully equipped gym along the beach road next to seaside restaurant if you are a gym junkie!
Another great holiday and will definately go back!
