Description: Pearl is a tropical sanctuary infused with French flair and the ubiquitous Balinese charm, offering chic indoor dining and breezy garden terrace seating beneath the starry skies. The 60-seat restaurant serves up refined French classics elevated with Chef Jeremy’s creative touches. Jeremy finished his chef's apprenticeship in the Michelin one-star La Petite France in Maussan, under master chef Thierry Maffre-Boge, flew to Bali and directed the creation of his dream restaurant at the Bali Pearl in 2009. He perfectly blends French traditional concepts of cooking and presentation with tropical produce and sensibilities. Welcome!

Really fresh food, the sirloin steak with the mushroom sauce was beautiful, the scallops were fresh and juicy, the outdoor setting was gorgeous.

We dined at this restaurant in June (sorry for the delay in writing a review) it was just wonderful. The service, food presentation, cocktails were fantastic. Well done to the French owner chef and his staff. We will be back for sure.

A big congratulations to all @ Pearl. Booked our first night on a friend's recommendation & absolutely loved it. A must if you would like a Michelin - French experience in Bali, and Pearl the resident rabbit is a delightful touch. We will be back...

Pearl would have to be the best restaurant we have dined in, service exemplary, Food and menu selection was a breeze thanks to the attentive owner, forgotten his name. Actual food presentation and taste 1st class. No Nasi here just top class french cuisine. You would not expect what you find at the end of the little back street away from all the hustle of Legian. Even the rabbit was a nice touch. We travel to Bali almost every year and WILL be dining at Pearl every visit from now on.

We had dinner at Pearl French in August 2013.

It's an interesting place. The restaurant is set out mostly in an open courtyard area, with lots of space between tables and just enough going on to give the area some life.

Service was quick, friendly and professional (after the initial communication, which was "Your reservation is for 7.30pm....if you are not here by 7.45pm, it will be cancelled!). The owner/manager came out to say hello, and did a good job of circulating around the area.

The wine list is short, but very reasonably priced and well put together.

The food was both the highlight and very disappointing. We ordered the entree tasting plate, and it was superb - a great mix of flavours and textures and wonderfully put together. Likewise, the desserts were simply fantastic (if very rich). It was the main course that fell apart. I had Duck Magret, and while it was cooked reasonably well, it was served with a pile of cold potatoes and a scoop of sweat potato mash. Really, it was bland, boring and I could have plated it up better myself. What a shame for a meal that started and ended so well.

Overall, Pearl is very close to being a fantastic restaurant, but need to get that main course right. Still, you could do worse for a good French meal in Legian.
