Description: Pearl is a tropical sanctuary infused with French flair and the ubiquitous Balinese charm, offering chic indoor dining and breezy garden terrace seating beneath the starry skies. The 60-seat restaurant serves up refined French classics elevated with Chef Jeremy’s creative touches. Jeremy finished his chef's apprenticeship in the Michelin one-star La Petite France in Maussan, under master chef Thierry Maffre-Boge, flew to Bali and directed the creation of his dream restaurant at the Bali Pearl in 2009. He perfectly blends French traditional concepts of cooking and presentation with tropical produce and sensibilities. Welcome!

It’s been 18 months since we dined here plus a few more on top of that since I wrote to trip advisor on this fabulous for French food restaurant. The duck breast with a balsamic caramelised sauce is truly just superb as is desert tasting plate. It’s still our favourite restaurant in Bali.

Had the pleasure of another evening at French pearl this week with friends from home. We all had the starting platter, which offers a taste of most entrees- all agreed this was delicious. Duck breast for me, beef bourgignon for one friend, seafood risotto for another and the de-constructed Lamb shank for my husband. Once again, delicious. To top it off, we shared two dessert plates- once again yum,! French pearl is not a typical Balinese restaurant, yes it is a little more expensive than most other Balinese restaurants- but you get what you pay for- stunning food, fantastic service in a beautiful setting. I'm shocked at some of the negative comments- not everyone has the same taste, so you negative people, please feel free to stay away from French pearl, and leave it to those appreciate the obvious hard work and dedication of Jeremy and his staff.

Food food food. Cleam plates full of flavour. Wont find such a treat around . Fairly priced and chef is attentive and kind greeting every single with suggestions on the menu. It is not in very central location but definately spare one evening and taste some proper food. Crispy duck leg, breast, desert taster .. All of them good.l.

Visited restaurant on the basis on TA rating but found the food to be rather average. The lobster bisque in the tasting plate appetiser was exceptional but the rest was so so. We had the duck confit and lamb shank (shredded, not meat on bone) and both were rather dry. We did not stay for desert.

Beautiful setting garden or indoors. Little bit expensive in comparison to other local restaurants, but fantastic food. I often went out for dinner, but came back to the Pearl for desert.
