We have visited Bali two or three weeks for many years and found that Legian is a very good spot to stay. We think Wali Warung is the best restaurant in the neighbourhood and we often go there for both lunch and dinner. It´s run by Wayan (Ricky) and Lisa. The menu has lots of indonesian and western dishes, both fish and meat. As a starter we recommend Brouchetta or Avocado Prawn Cocktail. From the indonesian kitchen we like the Mie Goreng, Beef Teriyaki, (wonderful sauce) and Fried Snapper Fillet. Among western foods they serve a wonderful Chicken Cordon Bleu. As a dessert we recommend tne Banana Split. If you want the ultimate experience – try the Seafood Platter, which must be ordered a day before. You get Fried Snapper, prawns, squid and lots of vegetables arranged on a tray that is really a work of art.
The food is served by a nice and helpful staff. Everything is clean and you can watch the food being cooked in the kitchen. Even the toilet is nice and clean! Of course you can get a Bintang beer or Balinese wine or why not a juice from e.g. mango or watermelon mixed on your request.
