“Just relaxing”
Reviewed August 30, 2014

We stayed at the Puri Raja for a couple of days at the end of our trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms are getting a little tired but it is very clean and well maintained. It is beautiful sitting for breakfast overlooking the beach and very relaxing. There are two pools and a childrens pool and the staff are very helpful and accommodating. You can get a poolside manicure/predicure or massage and the cocktails and Bintangs are great

This hotel may be in need of a little refresh but it is one of the most friendly staffed hotels I have ever been in. The staff were very helpful, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The wait staff (especially round the pool area) were awesome. The ladies in the massage rooms were just lovely and seemed to offer a remedy for every little ache or pain with no extra charge. The food, drinks, massages etc were all quite cheap. There was also a currency exchange at the front desk and the security at the gate even got us taxis when we needed. The rooms were a little tired and the beds a little too firm, also only intermittent wifi in the pool restaurant or lobby area, but these were the only downside I experienced...not that it was too bad. I can recommend this place, I'd stay there again. The beach is just across the road and there aren't to many places in the world I've been to where the staff give you goodbye hugs and kisses.

Room Tip: Rooms in the middle of the grounds keep you close to the shopping side and also the pool and beach a...

We came here for dinner after staying up a little way towards Seminyak end. Ordered pizza. Chicken, ham, beef and e rest BUT unfortunately we seemed to miss the content of the above. On complaining we we're told that the meat was shredded into miniscule pieces but unfortunately we could not even find that. Bogan and proud - unless you want what you pay for which is only $5 a pizza don't GO THERE if you expect a GOOD feed. It is all pasta and bread AND fried.

Room Tip: Plenty better along the front in Legian

Extremely disappointing. NEGATIVES: My Room No: 211 was (2 STAR) quality entering the room I was attacked by a zillion mosquitos, for the first (3 nites) of my (6 nite) stay I shared my room with a CAT who was living in the roof of my room which never stopped MEOWING throughout the nites, management was alerted on 8 occasions to remove this CAT from my room request ignored till I mentioned not paying my hotel tarif. Bathrooms roof was falling in at the edges remnants' of the prior tenants bathroom mess evident bathroom accessories minimal. Queen size bed consisted of two extremely hard uncomfortable and cumbersome mattresses put together and was easy to fall into the crack during ones sleep. Complimentary tea/coffee BUT you pay for the milk from the mini bar. Room was upstairs but the toilet managed to block on numerous occasions. Breakfast choices are of poor quality and the food was less than ordinary with over cooked omelettes to the tough and tasteless 'breakfast steak' entering the reception area was dried blood all over the entry obviously overlooked by staff, security were asleep more than awake, my driver let himself into the complex as not to wake security. To sum up this hotel I would say, BEER QUALITY at CHAMPAGE PRICE.
POSITIVES: Location to the beach excellent.

Room Tip: Read my review and stay at another Hotel.

This was the second time we have stayed here.... we love it as it is close to the beach, bars, shopping and more... staff are very helpful.. rooms are a bit old but a good size. The pool area's are good especially the pool bar with amazing cocktails... An excellent of breakfast menu and cooked as you order :)

Only one thing we were a bit disappointed with this time was the room clean each day.... we often were not given extra coffee and the bathroom wasn't cleaned very good... I ended up doing it myself on several days

Room Tip: Wifi was much better at the pool than any where else..... no wifi in the rooms at all... would be gr...

This place has great location, staff at reception seemed to want to be elsewhere, not very welcoming like we are used to in Bali, lower rooms not private as everybody walks past, friendly aussie guest go courtyard seminak much better for similar dollar and they want to please, would not recommend

Just spent 11 days at the Puri Raja and it was fantastic. Our room was upstairs near the beach pool which was a good size. The balcony was large and private. The staff were so funny and made you feel very welcome. Enjoyed free breakfast overlooking beach. Both pools are great. The front pool is 8 ft deep and less crowded and quite, whilst the other pool has music and a swim up bar. There was live music by Beni the legend on Wednesday nights and he even let me play a few tunes on his guitar.
The wifi was on and off but no big issue.
So many restaurants and shopping just steps away and only 5 minutes walk into the heart of legian.
This is a hotel for all kinds of Aussies as it caters for everyone. We will definitely be coming back next year.

Room Tip: Upstairs was more private
