“Best holiday ever! Don't tell anyone.........”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2010

We have now arrived home after a wonderful holiday in Bali. We have been holidaying in Bali for around 25 years, and we all agree that the best holiday ever was due largely to the wonderful Villa Sirikit and staff at Andari. We cannot speak highly enough. Everything was above our expectations, very comfortable bed and pillows, quality bed linen, crockery, glassware, very new and clean, so comfortable.....I could go on. From the moment we walked into the Villa we all “switched off” from the hassles of work and everyday life, and immediately fell into the relaxed lifestyle of Bali.
Congratulations, you have an amazing group of villas, lovely helpful staff, and we can't wait to come back again.

First Impressions, ":WOW" as we stepped through the gateway in to the Contemporary Asian Style Villa. We had been met on arrival by Made (The balinese side of the ownership triangle we presumed) and were a little surprised at the haste of his greeting and ("Give me the one extra nights money you owe me routine") I guess as we had just come from Ubud and the wonderful hospitality of the owners and staff of the Alam group, it was immediately obvious that customer service was not a priority for this man. This was later confirmed when a simple request for him to book a certain restaurant for us for a special occasion, was ignored and we were told to get our housemaid to do it. This, even after I explained that we were in Sanur and were having difficulty with making ourselves understood by the restaurant staff. After all it was Made himself that gave us his card on arrival with instructions to call him if we had any problems. Our main disappointment came after the flooding rains of the Tuesday night 27th July. We woke in the middle of the night to find the whole gardens awash, with the pool overflowing into the lawn and garden and lower steps of the villa. The chemicals from the previous nights fogging were swirling around the pool in a black, scummy, grassy, mess. Morning bought disaster, and from that point on we were unable to use the facilities of the pool and gardens, so we lost four days usage of our US$300 per night Villa. We waited in vain for over 24 hours for some acknowledgement or explanation of what other arrangements could be put in place. NOTHING, no feedback at all. When contacted on the Thursday, Made finally came to the Villa, looked at the pool, and told us we could use the pool of an empty villa, but must not use the villa facilities or dirty the floors etc. After tramping around to the other villa only once, (and standing around in public in our bathers while trying to locate security to let us in, we decided to give it a miss as it was all too hard.) I would of expected some form of offer of recompense for our loss. But not even an apology was forthcoming. On top of this we found the toilets leak, room safe would only work when it felt like it, chipped and cracked tiles, lack of bathroom complimentries like shampoo conditioners etc, and no breakfast provided, made this a poor choice when compared to many of the beautiful boutique Balinese style hotels, particularly those in the Ubud area, where customer service, facilities and value for money is some of the best in the world. Would we return, No.

We stayed at this accommodation from 12th of June 2010 for a week and had a lovely time. We were in the Sirikit Villa - the bedrooms (3) and bathrooms (5!!!) were very clean and beautifully decorated. It was very quiet even though only 50 metres away there was the bedlam of the streets and motorbikes.
Our house maid Eloh was great and cooked us breakfast on request, washed our clothes and was there for general advice.
I would highly recommend this accommodation for a group of friends/family looking for a bit of luxury at a reasonable price.

This place is amazing and the way it is set out and furnished is truly superb.. There with 6 girl friends and we just had the best time. It was so secluded and quiet we were more than happy to lie around swimming and relaxing. Our beautiful girl Wayan couldn't do enough for us. Thank you to Ainslie for giving us the chance to share in the beauty and comfort of this wonderful villa.
One small thing though. We were there during Nyeepi (which is their New Year) and everything is closed and you are confined to indoors from midnight one night to midnight the next with little noise and no lights, was a little bit hard towards the end of that.
We didn't want to leave and we are all looking forward to hopefully getting back there again. Thank you.

The apartment is superb, great for 2 couples. It was fully serviced, we had a beautiful breakfast made for us each day and our washing was done and returned the next day.
It was so quiet we heard no outside noise. Lovely garden, indoor-outdoor bathroom and beautiful pool. A short walk down a lane bought us to the beach. There was a great Italian restaurant down the road and down past the Bungey Jump were some great beach bars for cheap eating and drinking, a great place to watch the sun go down. You can walk to Seminyak Square along the beach and a longer walk to Kuta or a cheap taxi ride. We have been to Bali many times, this accommodation was our best ever. The only thing I am worried about writing this review is that when we go next we may not be able to rent it! Great spa about 4 doors down the road, way better than a beach massage.

Had our second stay at Andari Bali Villas in Sept this year.

The villas are located down a quiet laneway, just off Rum Jungle Road (Jalan Werkudara) opposite the Grand Kumala Hotel.
Location is fantastic - close to shops, restaurants and spa salons and a short walk to the beachfront.

The villa complex is around one year old and everything is new and spotless.

Each villa has a maid from 8.30 until 4.00 in the afternoon. What a bonus to have breakfast cooked each day, laundry and tidying up.

The villas are either 2 or 3 bedrooms with own pool and each one has a different lay-out, with the best stocked kitchen, filled with plenty of cocktail, champagne and wine glasses, plenty of crockery and a blender for poolside drinks. Flat screen tv and quality fittings.

No children allowed under the age of 12 here, so won't suit family groups with younger children, but fantastic for couples and friends.

We have stayed in many villas in Bali over the years, but Andari surpasses them all for quality, style and affordability.

  • Liked — spotless and brand new with great facilities and layout
  • Disliked — having to leave!
