I was really impressed with the facilities. All very clean and well set out. We stayed in a 1Bdrm Villa. Lovely spacious open air lounge and eating area. Great bathroom, good shower. Bedroom big and airy, with good air conditioning. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. We arrived early morning so they looked after our bags until our rooms were ready. Great location. Good shopping all around, and the beach and other resorts close by. Good range of restaurants to choose from. Would highly recommend and will stay there again.

We stayed for 5 nights earlier this month and really enjoyed our stay. We had a double room room at the front of the hotel, our room was a little noisy with construction across the road and poor sound insulation between the rooms but this didn't interfere with our sleep at all as it was a quiet area late at night. There seems to be so much construction in Legian and Seminyak I think it's hard to avoid this anyway. The bedroom and bathroom were large, they provided a portacot for our daughter at no extra charge which we hadn't even requested. The garden and pool area were like an oasis in this bustling area of Bali. The villas at the back of the property looked lovely. Short walk to the beachfront, you can cut through some bigger resorts. The service was great and the staff very friendly, they were always wanting to hold and talk to our young daughter. We had trouble booking our ongoing flights and the staff went out of their way to help and rang the airline for us. Great value too!

We stayed here for 9 nights end of August / beginning of September 2013.

We had a one bedroom villa (Surya II) and found it to be very peaceful, when you step through the ornate wooden gate into the garden it is so peaceful compared to the hustle of Legian.

The staff were very helpful and professional, especially Safri who collected us from the airport and took us out on 2 full day excursions, a real gentlemen who we now regard as a friend.

We were looking forward to the legendary rooftop BBQ, but unfortunately the chef has moved on and also there is some construction across the road (opposite the corner restaurant) which is creating dust in the vicinity. The construction is not audible from the villas & will not affect your enjoyment.

The pool is probably around 8 metres long and is in the sun from around 9am to 4pm & there are umbrellas and plenty of clean towels available.

The breakfast was basic and definitely improved towards the end of our stay as the new chef arrived. You can choose one item from the breakfast menu, but if you want more you have to pay, I was surprised that a cup of coffee could not be thrown in on the house?? but the restaurant staff were very helpful and kind...

We had an extra bed in our room as our daughter was travelling with us and this was $35 USD extra per night inclusive of breakfast, a little steep i thought as it was simply a mattress on the floor and bearing in mind my previous breakfast comments.

The villa had a balcony off the bedroom and also a seated area below, which is very comfortable and has a flat screen TV with plenty of movie channels (also one in the bedroom), a refrigerator, table & chairs, a sink and bar area, but no cutlery, crockery or glassware, although if you ask they will provide for you without a problem.

I would most definitely stay again as i thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Royal Tunjung and it was great to have a lounge area in the evening, no hotel is perfect but this one is very good.

Guess if i was to give some advice to the management it would be to take a little of the profit and invest it into providing the guests with a better breakfast experience.

Room Tip: Go for a villa, not a room as the villas are in the beautiful garden away from the noise of the road...

Stayed for 14 days here. First night we stayed in a Deluxe room, bad choice, extremely noisy as it was close to the road and on top of the hotels car park. Room was very basic but no balcony. Shifted the next morning into a 3 bedroom villa and stayed here for 6 nights, what a great improvement, nice room, fantastic bathroom, small balcony with only 1 chair. We then spent 6 nights in a 1 bedroom villa, nice room, smallish bathroom but a big balcony with 2 chairs. Downstairs in the villas was huge, with T.V, bar and fridge. The villas were nice and quiet and clean. Pool was smallish but nice, had it to ourselves most of the time, only 6 pool chairs but some were broken. In the sun nearly all day. Gardens are very nice and well kept. We tried the breakfast for a few days, very disappointed to say the least. We ate out every day after the first few days. American breakfast consisted of 2 eggs on 1 piece of toast and a drink!!! Nothing else, we found out later that you needed to ask to get the full breakfast that was on the menu. We had lunch one day around the pool and was disappointed as the servings were very small. WIFI was the best I have come across right throughout the hotel, extremely quick and always connected. Another guest told us the management has changed and they had lost the chef and a few main staff. If the breakfast was improved the hotel would be good value. 2 days before we left there appeared to be a few changes being made, like placing pool towels on the pool chairs etc.

Room Tip: Choose a Villa, Deluxe rooms very noisy.

After travelling to Bali quite regularly I know what you get for your $$$. This was a first though for us staying at Royal Tunjung and what a little hidden paradise!!! Booking on line for the first time to keep the price down I was a little nervous as there was also 5 other ladies on this trip, a first for the most of them, so you want somewhere they will love just as much as you. Well we found it!!! We had the 3 bedroom villa, huge for us Beautiful furnishings, big plasma TV's nice kitchen area and rooms were huge with nice bathrooms, very clean and staff were so friendly and went out of there way to do anything for you, a small property and very traditional style bungalows. It is not some big flash hotel, but a small cosy property with lush gardens, a beautiful pool, central to everything you need. beach, shopping, restaurants, best coffee shop but also away from the hustle and bustle. Miss Jasmine on the front reception is beautiful, we miss her smiling face already. Will be back for sure.

Have just spent 8 nights again at this wonderful hide away in legian with my wife and my brother in law,we stayed in the 3 bedroom 2 storey villa .To Eko i must say your staff are all just brillant nothing was too much trouble to ask about tv reception or anything else. The villas are still fantastic, the linen is changed daliy, the gardens are in fantastic condition as always,Muka restaurant is even better with your new chef and yes the bbq and seafood nights are SUPERB!!!. I would highly recomend the royal tunjung to any big family for the large bedrooms and the open plan living area downstairs. The pool is just the right size not overcrowded and easy access.Easy to walk to any other restaurants or money changes or buying bingtans from accross the road.Thank you MR EKO for your hospitality and look forward to re booking another holiday at ROYAL TUNJUNG ( trip no 8 ) PETER FITZGERALD

We had the Bayu 11 villa and it was fantastic. The staff were so friendly that the kids would often go up and spend time chatting with them. It was definately one of the best places that we have stayed in Bali. The chef and staff in the MUKU restaurant were both friendly and entertaining. The BBQ night were fantastic with so much food of great quality. In fact we ate a lot of our dinners at the hotel. Nyoman the chef was very friendly, spending time with us and our children loved singing during inpromtu karaoke. All in all great place for families couples etc. Thankyou so much Royal Tunjung we miss you greatly.
