“Just not my cup of tea...”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

Hmmmm...where do I start?
We booked online and when we got there the staff have no clue whether its paid or not and they kept asking confirmation from us every 2 hours when we tried to rest!
That alone already piss me off...
Dont they suppose to be able to check that internally before go and bother their customer?

I mean, I get their design concept coz I am an architect myself...
But when you decided to go with natural stones for exterior decoration, you have to be ready to clean it every month especially in rainy season. This hotel seems like never been cleaned in 6 months at least?
Coz you can see green and black stains of moss grew every corner caused by weather changes.
The room was OK, the design is too "cold" for me for a resort. But it was OK...we got the 1 bedroom suite for 3 days and it was not a quite relaxing nights.
Nearby there are some cafes with live music almost every night, it gets pretty loud at night.
The pool was small...I mean SMALL...more of a dipping pool, I guess...uninviting...
The breakfast was OK, looking over the beach...
Oh yeah, the hotel located just across the Double Six, Seminyak beach.
Walking distance to shopping and restaurant district.
So if you are in Bali to party, this hotel is the way to go.

Will I go back to this hotel?
Hmmmm...NO....
Just not my cup of tea....

This place basically ticks all my boxes! 1 week stay. 2 bedroom apartments are family fantastic, although we had a bung bedroom tv in 229 & shower.

Pool although narrow is long & can always find a sunny or shady spot. Could be classified as too deep for many with me at 6"1 just touching the bottom although they have floaty noodles at hand & kids area.

Great spread at breaky, connected seafood shop outside is great value for a takeaway option!

Awesome location & amenities although steps a pain for pram. Think ground floor may be intrusive, we loved second floor. Your deck may be on a low traffic walkway not private. Sun deck for arvo happy hour cocktails nice. Staff attentive & very friendly.

Beach across the road & a heap of good restaurants right outside

We have recently returned from an 8 night stay at O-CE-N Bali by Outrigger and were blown away by this place. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were staying at a 5 star hotel at half the price. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment (room 210). This apartment was HUGE, modern and very impressive. They have thought of everything and the rooms were very well fitted out with three televisions, DVD player, king size bed in the master suite and two toilets, not to mention a kitchenette and lovely balcony.

The pool, although lovely, is rather narrow. There is a spa at one end and a shallow area for the little ones. The rest of the pool is 1.65 metres deep so if you just wanted to have a quick dip to cool off or just walk into up to your knees/waist, it is difficult due to the depth of the pool. If you have a young family, I feel you could probably find better pools with waterslides etc that the kids would prefer but for couples/singles or families with older children, this pool is perfect. The pool staff are so friendly (especially Ketut who always has a smile on his face).

The breakfast was wonderful. Lots of variety. Eggs cooked by the chef to your liking - omelettes/fried/scrambled/poached etc. A good mix of both Indonesian and western cuisine is available. A good variety of juices/fruits/cereals/pancakes and the cappucinno's are really good (although these are an additional cost). Once again, the restaurant staff were always asking if we needed anything and couldn't do enough for us (expecially Ryan).

The restaurant overlooks the beach (although there is a road between). Sitting at the restaurant sipping cocktails watching the waves crashing is a memory that I will never forget.

We were so impressed with this accommodation and would highly recommend O-CE-N Bali by Outrigger to everyone.

This hotel was promising because of it's beachfront location. But I found the layout to be really strange, and the indoor/outsdoor pool uninviting. Our room was tucked underground, with no privacy. And nothing 'Bali' about it.
The breakfast buffet was poor.

We have stayed here twice. The location is great and the staff are amazing. Nothing too much trouble and always on hand to help. English is good and service fantastic. Two bedroom apartments are well furnished with the Spa of course. My issue is the cost of laundry as prices are off the planet, otherwise all good and thank you so much or making our trip enjoyable.
We will be back..

Room Tip: 106-two bedriim apartment, ground fl

We have stayed here many times and whilst we have stayed elsewhere in Bali, we keep coming back to O-CE-N. All the staff are friendly, professional and speak good English. Nothing is too much trouble. We always try and stay in Room 140 which is a 3 bed apartment, spacious, tv in every bedroom, well equipped kitchen and spa out the back. It is located on the ground floor in a quiet setting and has 2 bathrooms. Lots of cupboard space, and huge lounge/dining area. The facilities are amazing, great pool area and amazing restaurant which is open for BREKKY through to a late supper. The front desk staff, together with the taxi counter staff and security do an outstanding job. Whilst holidaying my hubby had a surfing accident across from the hotel, we took him back to the Reception area where Miss Dwi immediately called the nurse and doctor who have a clinic downstairs in the Hotel. Within 5 minutes we were back in our room and hubby was being attended to. He required 6 stitches and ongoing care for the rest of our stay. They came every second day to change the dressing and then on our last day, took out the stitches. I cannot recommend these doctors and nurses highly enough!! There is a doctor on duty every day from 2-5, with great English and extremely professional. Overall this 3 week holiday was fantastic and mainly due to all the staff, from bar staff, restaurant staff, security, cleaners, maintenance, front desk and management. We love the fact that within a 10 minute walk you can dine in so many lovely places, beach out the front, shopping and massages close by! Already booked the next holiday.

This hotel is lovely. Great location on the beach with a great restaurant (The Deck) looking out onto the beach. The rooms are great, very comfortable and spacious and modern. I only have one complaint, laundry prices are out of control. Take your laundry elsewhere!
The staff are all great, as always in bali. They let us use a room to shower in after checking out at midday as our flight was only at midnight so we could spend the whole day exploring seminyak and then shower before the flight. Amazing breakfast buffet, we miss it already!

Room Tip: We got a two bedroom suite. Well worth the extra 5 or 10 USD a night!
