The food at Barbacoa is amazing it ticks all the boxes
The ambience is brilliant and if you get a nice night sit out the back it's a treat (if it's hot the dining room has AC as well which is lovely!)
The staff are AMAZING especially my Man Ari and the head barman (can't think how to spell his name!) Chatted to us a lot and were passionate about what they do. If the owner reads this hold onto them two and give them a pay rise !!! Young Dede on his first night was also a treat he is a trainee from the islands and his smile was infectious as was his attitude we loved it !
We tried a lot of the menu as we went as a couple and then with friends
The tapas share plates are so good and generous sized
Highly recommend the cauliflower (who thought you would ever write that!) and the candied walnuts on the beetroot salad , well I could of eaten just them and been satisfied
The pulled pork sliders are great as well
Now the mains ASADO of the day was pork and WOW it's epic that's the only way to describe it
The friends we went with we're also blown away by the pork
Everything else in that section is great as well and the burnt carrots and potatoes are moreish
And then there is desert and cocktails !
The espresso martini and choclate truffles to finish the meal is my girlfriends new favorite
I personally love the ice cream sandwich and a jalapeño margarita but the choclate truffles are something else as well ( we even stopped to get them on the way back to our villa for the best movie snacks ever!)
I will be back that is for sure ! Up there with the greats of Bali
