Description: Barbacoa is dedicated to BBQ, wood fire, charcoal and smokey flavours. Our cuisine is Latin American based set in a large warehouse space with massive high ceilings with rustic wood, sandstone walls, mosaic tiled floors and vintage leather banquettes which is totally unique and warm in every way. Our chefs are passionate and proud of the food we serve. We use the best produce available to create delicious, unpretentious food using old and modern techniques. The restaurant has air conditioning inside as well as outdoor spaces over looking the rice fields. Our cocktails and wines are selected and prepared with attention to detail and can be enjoyed at the bar or at your table during dinner.

“Great Experience”
Reviewed January 28, 2014

Staff were very friendly and helpful. They recommend items for each course and got it spot on for our needs and likes.

Great cocktail menu and the sliders are perfection!

One of the owners came and chatted with us adding a personal touch to our dining experience.

We dined at night but the views from the back of the restaurant over the rice fields at dusk at amazing.

“Fantastic, no fries!”
Reviewed January 28, 2014

Eight of us visited this fantastic new restaurant with a couple of fussy children that found it most convenient only to order chips/fries at other places we dined at during our ten day stay in Bali. Well guess what? No fries/chips on the menu here. Just a great selection of Tapas, larger meals and all of it excellent. Initially we placed a conservative order, needing to top it up twice. The non-fussy and fussy ones were all delighted with the food. The wood fired pork was special. Not just great food. Service, ambience and outdoor area also highlights. Visit Barbacoa, I would be surprised if you left disappointed.

“Stunning view of rice fields”
Reviewed January 27, 2014 via mobile

Arrive before sunset and ask for outdoor seat at the back and you'll find an amazing view of rice fields and sky of stars after dark.

We ordered Chapa Bread, fluffy warm and delicious dipping of roasted garlic n rosemary. Excellent bread and will definitely order this again on my next visit.
Then Pulled Pork Torta, a mini pork burger with pickled red onion, love this too.
Smoked Sashimi Tuna, the Jalapeno doesn't really taste like it, would love a better Jalapeno for the kick.

Our main course, we chose the 8 Hour Wood Fired Asado of the Day, Suckling Pig ! Amazingly tender meat, succulent and moist with crispy skin. We ordered also Burnt Carrots on the side, but maybe too much Maple Vinaigrette so too sweet for our taste.

In summary, it was a great restaurant with great view and ambiance. Will visit again sometime soon.

“Some amazing dishes and great ambiance”
Reviewed January 23, 2014

We had a very enjoyable meal at Barbacoa recently. For us the highlights we a number of the entree or dishes you can share - the tacos were AMAZING as was the grilled corn on the cob with cheese and spices. I was a bit disappointed by the main that we ordered (signature dish - meat roasted on the spit) - the night we were there and it was pork, which seemed a little dry.

The fit out of the restaurant really appealed; a large space with high ceilings, tiled floors and paned glass windows across the front. Out the back there is also a deck if you fancy some post-dinner drinks in the outdoors.

Like a lot of the dining options in Bali, the food was quite reasonably priced, but the drinks were expensive. They charge for drinking water, which I find a bit rich when you're paying top dollar for alcoholic drinks throughout your meal. The service was okay but I expect it to improve, as a newly opened restaurants some of the staff seemed to still be learning the ropes.

All in all, a great place for dinner in Bali.

“Truly Special”
Reviewed January 23, 2014

This was my last meal in Bali and the place was something else! amazing south american tapas in one of the coolest designed places in an amazing spot. I happen to come to eat just as the sun was setting, i chose to sit outside and it was a beautiful view overlooking the rice fields. Bali has kept suprising me with some special places but this for me out of the places i visited was the cream of the crop in terms of the food, design, service and views. This would make a great place for a group of friends and would be just perfect for a romantic couples night out.
