Description: Barbacoa is dedicated to BBQ, wood fire, charcoal and smokey flavours. Our cuisine is Latin American based set in a large warehouse space with massive high ceilings with rustic wood, sandstone walls, mosaic tiled floors and vintage leather banquettes which is totally unique and warm in every way. Our chefs are passionate and proud of the food we serve. We use the best produce available to create delicious, unpretentious food using old and modern techniques. The restaurant has air conditioning inside as well as outdoor spaces over looking the rice fields. Our cocktails and wines are selected and prepared with attention to detail and can be enjoyed at the bar or at your table during dinner.

“Relaxed vibe & enthusiastic staff”
Reviewed January 9, 2014

Visited here last night with my wife based on high TA rating. We like visiting new venues before they get so popular that they are overrun. The restaurant is in a popular area of Kerobokan, across the street from Sardine and a short walk from Metis. Stiff opposition indeed and the owners, apparently 4 guys from Oz, have obviously jumped straight in at the deep end with this venture. They have spared no expense on the space itself, a lavishly decorated large open room with an upstairs area at one end and downstairs seating arranged around a large central island bar which would be a great spot for cocktails even if not staying for dinner. The theme is south American tapas style small plates. Our choices were all good, battered fish tacos, pickled beetroot salad, green beans in anchovy butter, and suckling pig which was especially well cooked, juicy with fat properly rendered and tasty crackling. My personal favourite was the beans which were some of the best ive tasted anywhere. A special mention to our wait staff who tried very hard to ensure we were looked after. Some nice wines by the glass including a NZ pinot and a nice chianti. Total cost just under 1 million including coffee but excluding dessert. I wish the owners all the best with this venture in a very competitive market.

“Great New Restaurant in Seminyak!”
Reviewed January 8, 2014

We tried Barbacoa after reading about it in the Bali Bible over the New Year's Eve period, and we're not disappointed. The actual venue was beautiful! Loved the menu and we were excited to try many of the dishes. We ordered the pork sliders, empanadas, battered fish taco, rib eye and squid. Everything was amazing, but a standout for me was the fish taco. Only a few minor disappointments, we tried to order Spanish style fried potatoes as a side but we're told they had run out even though it was only around 8.30/9 and not really sure how a restaurant can run out of potatoes? We were also unable to order the octopus or creme Catalan for dessert as these dishes had also apparently run out. Only a minor setback and would not prevent us from returning or recommending the restaurant to friends.

This place is just great. It's very new and they are doing really really well, I have been there 5 times already and everyone who I recommend it to gives great feedback. The smoked tuna is an absolute winner. Great staff and great atmosphere and great food. WINNER.....

“Seminyak's next biggest thing!”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

Was recommended to eat here from a friend. What a great restaurant! Highlights being the pulled pork torta and the rice pudding for desert. The service is great, super friendly. Can't fault this place. Best to get in before it becomes the most popular place in Bali!

“Bali's best...hands down!”
Reviewed January 6, 2014

Having eaten in all of Bali's "must go" places, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Barbacoa topped them all. The atmosphere, service....and most of all, the food is simply amazing. If I could only go to ONE place in Bali...this would be it.
