Barbacoa, is located in Jl Petitenget not far from Lio square traffic light. We passed by in from many times and that night we stopped to check it out.
Since many friends in bali was disappointed and confused by the food and service there, we wanted to experience it by ourself.
The place was not that crowded which for sure give the time to the staff to take care of us. We were greeted and escorted to our table . Received our menu, the menu is not really extensive and if you don't fancy that kind of south american - latinos flavors like a friend of us, you will be disappointed to not have something to your taste to choose from.
We have tasted the chorizo, octopus, prawns as starter excellent choice no comment the cooking was and flavors was there.
as main courses we took the meat 2 times the same dishes and same degree of cooking (i forgot the name ) but its the second one in the menu and you have only two meats so easy to find out. The meat cooking was really different from one piece to the other and pre sliced which I don't really like it. the problem is that we order medium rare you could see the all range of cooking for a meat - from medium rare to well done. The waiter was really attentive and took care of us.
One comment don't expect any privacy the tables are close from the other and we had the chance to have very loud australian next to us, so that push us to leave the place earlier coz I hate that.
The design is simple, not to fancy. The have valet which is good since the parking is really small.
Price range a bite expensive for what you get.
