Description: Barbacoa is dedicated to BBQ, wood fire, charcoal and smokey flavours. Our cuisine is Latin American based set in a large warehouse space with massive high ceilings with rustic wood, sandstone walls, mosaic tiled floors and vintage leather banquettes which is totally unique and warm in every way. Our chefs are passionate and proud of the food we serve. We use the best produce available to create delicious, unpretentious food using old and modern techniques. The restaurant has air conditioning inside as well as outdoor spaces over looking the rice fields. Our cocktails and wines are selected and prepared with attention to detail and can be enjoyed at the bar or at your table during dinner.

People kept mentioning the new South American style place in Kerobokan so I went in search and found Barbacoa... and it's Aussie exec chef/owner!!
Adam Dundas-Taylor is one cool guy who has pulled off a very unique restaurant in amongst many great restaurants in this trendy dining part of Bali. Food, service, drinks, general ambience...fabulous. Try it. It's certainly now on my list of Best dining in Bali.

I've spent a lot of time in Bali, and this is the first place I've been there that is truly unique. While it brings flavours that evoke South America, you feel like you are tasting them in a major city establishment. The service is great, and the food is even better. While the slow cooked pork over the Asador is a treat, the seafood dishes like the octopus are incredible. Don't pass up on the vegies either, the beetroot salad and green beans are both the best I've ever had.

Twice now I have taken a group of 4 friends to this place. Welcomed with a friendly smile and atmosphere was amazing. Not knowing the menu we let the staff recomend our food. We could not have been happier. Food and drinks arrived without any wait and the deserts are amazing. Check this place out, it's a must !

Six of us arrived 7.30 to a restaurant less than half full. The cocktails were excellent, but.....35 minutes for some (very good, hot) bread, and an hour and twenty for the food, with head-banging music. The food was pretty good, except for the suckling pig which was dried out, huge "sharing" carrots, and no serving spoons for any of the dishes which are all for sharing. As we finished eating, a hale and hearty antipodean came and asked us how we were doing. When he got an ear-bashing he claimed he didn't work there and was another diner!!!!! He then fled to the bar. Comes the bill. "Please come and put in your PIN". "No thank you, bring the card reader to the table." Which they did. Having put in the PIN and gone away, the waiter comes back and asks for a signature. This always irritates me. I explain gently a number of times that the PIN guarantees the payment and he doesn't need a signature. Eventually he goes away and the manager arrives demanding a signature. Again, the explanation repeated many times, including in Indonesian by one of our party. No joy. So eventually I sign "Mickey Mouse" and of course he doesn't check the signature against the credit card and is happy! This place could be good, but if they don't get their act together they won't survive.

We were a group of Ten and visited within a week of opening. Everything was great, from the staff to the cocktails and the fantastic dishes. We shared a range of plates over a few hours and the entire experience was fantastic. Nothing else like this place in Bali.
