We decided to travel to Bali for a week with my mom, and we chose this hotel because we wanted something that does not look "European"... We were pleased. The staff was incredible. Nothing was impossible, so nice all the time. Like nowhere else I've been before, even if it was a 5 star hotel. The food was good, nothing surprising, usually repeating every two days. Super clean, they would run around and clean all the time. The spa... Well, the spa was the only weakness. I would very much recommend not going there, I know the price is very low, but somebody would constantly come into the room, the girls would talk very loudly in the hall so you can't relax, the music was very loud and the massage lame, sorry. I went to Body Works several times for a massage and wrapping - like 15 min by taxi from the hotel, and it was the best massage I have ever had (do not go there for pedi/mani though... They do not have the American/European standard) ... The pool had a good temperature, not that many children - but still some... And many Russian guests, and I am very sorry, but it seems to me like the Russian kids can do whatever they want... :/ It is located just on a beach, which was great, but we were there in a stormy/rainy season so the beach was full of little branches etc. due to waves. I asked and outside the rainy season it is clean. So very much recommended :) We are Czech/Dutch and all the staff spoke very good English, not well German or Russian. 5/5!

Room Tip: Get an upgrade for the garden view! And for couples- the bungalows are amazing :)

My husband just stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The first room had a broken bed and was full of mosquitos. They moved him to another room, this time the airconditioner was not working. After trying to fix it for 2.5hours they moved him to yet another room. This time at 9pm when he returned to his room after a long day, he found that the fridge had not cooled down and all his drinks were hot. He called reception and they sent up 2 cold bottles of water which he was charged for. They didn't return to fix the fridge until sometime during the next day whilst he was out. Also the balcony door was held shut by a peice of wood across like a bar with a gap in it. Not very secure. The breakfast was disappointing, the bacon was dry and shrivelled up at 7.15am. This hotel is right at the end of the road along the beach front. Its ok if you want to be isolated but if you want to walk to a shop its about 1.5km walk to a "K" shop and theres really no pub to go chill out in. Oh yeh and he had to keep unplugging the TV to charge his mobile phone because there was only one plug in the whole room. We've been to Bali many times and I wouldn't stay here again.

Room Tip: No lifts in this 4 storey hotel.

This hotel right on the beach of west Bali in Seminyak just north of the crowded Kuta area is very comfortable set in stone temple architecture with goldfish ponds and gardens. The rooms are large enough and all have balconies. Some of the suites have private pools. The dining room overlooks the central pool, kept clean and fresh by friendly attentive staff. The walk along the beach from the hotel to touristy commercial Kuta is about 8 km and from the hotel north to more local emptier Echo Beach is about 4 km. Beach garbage from the ocean is a challenge along the whole coast which needs urgent government attention.

We had a great time at this hotel. Basically we got a good deal compared to a couple other ones in the area. Close to Seminyak center, and oceanfront. Beach isn't as clean and pristine on this side of the island. But still beautiful beachfront location. We spent a whole day outside in the nice pool with tiki bar, overlooking ocean. Food wasnt as good but you have more options with plenty of restaurants in the area. We specially liked Potato Head, steps away if you walk on the beach. For their buffet breakfast offers many options, we are the spoiled kind and didnt like it much either. Quality is better than quantity folks, in this case applies. WiFi in the rooms was on and off...i guess thats as promised : connection only on common areas -which was true. The best part, even if the hotel's common areas are not as luxurious or updated... We got a villa and we were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful clean and comfy it was. Dreamed slate and marble bathroom with huge semi-outdoor shower (with good pressure ) and separate sections for toilet and bidet. Staff was nice and helpful. The highlight was the spa on site. Massages were very affordable and therapists were good. I would come back if in seminyak.

Lovely hotel - but the place needs to be updated. The rooms are comfortable and clean but
the plumbing is bad, the tv is outdated and the internet - though they say they have wifi, the signal in the room is terrible. As a result everyone goes to the lobby to get a signal.
We booked 3 rooms - if you have an elderly person staying this is not the hotel for you, there are lots of steps and no elevator.
The hotel is beautiful, the breakfast is excellent. The staff is absolutely wonderful and the location is great - its right on the beach. The are restaurants close by within walking distance too that are nice. And massage places that are clean and good within walking distance too.
All in all a great place to stay if you do not let minor hassles bother you. And the Balinese people are the nicest and make everything better.

Room Tip: There is a restaurant within walking distance called Naughty but nice that is a must see

This hotel is amazing. Although we stayed in a budget room, it was still first class to us. Wi-fi only worked in the lobby but we only needed that to get in touch with our guides. The view looking out to the ocean from the pool was stunning. The food was wonderful and the buffet breakfast everyday was different. The staff were so helpful and always happy. All they did was joke around with us which we loved. Happy hour was my favourite time of the day and staff at the pool bar were always up for a good ol chat. Laundry was quite expensive as they charge per item but other than that, Grand Balisani Suites is HEAVEN ON EARTH. The only hotel we'll ever stay at when visiting Bali

Nice hotel in a true Balinese style. Staff are fabulous and so cheerful. Spa has great service and prices are good too . The girls are lovely. $10 per hour for a lovely one hour massage. Reflexology $5 per half hour. Heaven . Much better and safer than a lot of places in town which may be cheaper, but not as lovely surroundings. !!! A little way out from Seminyak but they have a free shuttle there, and only $3 for a taxi back. Beach is not the best, but no one goes to Bali for excellent beaches. Hotel grounds are beautifully kept. We were there at New Year and it was very busy in and around Seminyak. We had a lovely time on the beach in a little bar with the locals. Hotel breakfasts were very varied and adequate. People who complain about it are being picky.
