“Great Service!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2013

This is actually a place with a nice atmosphere. I tried the Japanese salad (it was okay, may be a little too sour yet refreshing), the churros is really nice (sadly the portion is small), the drinks are average and really pricey.

I went there on my last day of vacation in Bali, the view is nice, atmosphere is good, and the service from the staff is good. (when I was swimming, they do let us know when our food is ready) We actually can swim in the restaurant, and we will need to pay extra IDR 20k if we want to borrow a towel.

The toilet and bathroom is really nice :)

Overall I will come back there for the churros and the wonderful service :)

“Unfortunately... Disappointing!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

We went to Mozaic after hearing amazing reviews from a friend that had just been to wedding there. We arrived at 10pm on Sunday night and were just looking to have a few cocktails. The bar was empty and there were lots of staff, yet it took ages for someone to take our order.

When we got our cocktails, they were no good - we asked them to take them back to fix them (pretty sure they had forgot to put the alcohol in!) and they tried to charges extra for fixing them. In the end we didn't finish our drinks and left straight away - it was really disappointing.

In saying that, the restaurant looked amazing, and the food looked great - but that wasn't what we were there for. We will give it another try during the day, but it wasn't a great first impression :-(

“Fantastic food, relaxed atmosphere!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2013

On a weekend trip to Bali, we thought we would give the beach club a try. We knew about it's "parent" Mozaic in Ubud from an experience in Jakarta so had pretty high expectations.

We were not disappointed. A warm greeting and a nice (semi) booth. The room is open to the elements, and there was a slight breeze. I am not normally in for alfresco, but this worked.

We didn't have the tasting menu, but it looked good. I tried scallops, which were fantastic, and my second course of Iberian Pork was super. My wife enjoyed fois gras and followed up with a wonderful snapper. The wine selection was good and the service very good. All in all, a great meal and worth the effort to go there.

“5* dining in Bali”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2013

I went to Mozaic Beach Club with my 13 and 11 year old daughters, 5 years after dining at the "original" Mozaic in Ubud with my wife.

The 3 of us (one of my children is not such an adventurous eater) had 2 of the "Tasting Menus".

This was excellent and enjoyed by all. Be warned, it is a bit on the expensive side for Bali, but good as a 1 off.
