Friendly, personable and English speaking, the owner and founder, Putu Dewi, trained at a large international resort in the Maldives before returning to Bali to set up her own spa. The ladies that gave us a massage were wonderful and so enjoyable experience. They came next door to Dewani Villas to give the massage and it was very nice.

I have only tried the cream bath here, but it was truly excellent. It involved about an hour of head, neck, shoulder and arm massage.

This place is not for you if you want a glamourous spa experience: The decor is basic and there is noise from the road. If however you want a very inexpensive and effective treatment, I recommend it.

After reading the other reviews we decided to try the Ayur Bali Spa and Wellness.

We stopped by and were told that they had a two for one massage promotion on.

We were given a cold towel and cold ginger tea on arrival.

We chose to both have a one hour balinese massage.

The masseurs ask you what pressure you would like. Be warned, they are quite strong.

The Balinese massage involves a foot bath, and then they work on all parts of your body. There is a fair bit of time spent on the legs, whereas I would have preferred a greater focus on my back and shoulders.

The room is very small and basic. Also the place is located right on the road so there is a lot of traffic noise. Not very relaxing at all.

Overall the massage was very good and the masseurs were pleasant enough.

We paid 50 000 (~$5) with the two for one special.

For the price you can't really go wrong, however, we would probably try and find another place with better ambience before coming back here.

We spent a few days in a hotel in Batubelig (Astana Batubelig) and upon reading the hotel's reviews we came to know about both Naughty Nuri's (yummi!) and this SPA. We went to try it on our first day and ended up there every single day for a 1 or 1,5 hour massage session.

It is very faily priced (simmilar to other places in the street, much cheaper than what was offered in the hotel) and the masseusses are really exceptional.

Highly recommended. Give it a try, you will surely not regret it!
