“Great for breakfast, lunch and dinner!”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

We first tried Biku for breakfast upon a recommendation from our hotel. It was delicious. I was adventurous and tried the Avocado smoothie. While it wasn't really my taste, it was well prepared. All the food we got was great value for our money. We got the breakfast "high tea" and potato rosti. Both were big helpings and very satisfying. The atmosphere is very nice too and you can look around and shop a bit when you're done. We also went on Sunday night for dinner and to catch some traditional Balinese music. The entertainment was amazing. It's a quartet and singer and they really performed well. For dinner, we recommend a reservation. Everyone that was a walk-in after 6:30pm was denied a table as everything had already been reserved.

“Yumwow!”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

It was a snap decision to drop in here for a late brunch with the family.....hoping it would be great.....but would it live up to all the hype?
Absolutely....walking in you don't know where to look.....so much going on....diners....bookstore.....curios.....home wares, this feels like a comfortable place to kill time.
The service was outstanding in a casual un-obtrusive sort of way.
Our family ordered a la carte with smiles all around. My wife's (thai?)fish cake salad was a standout...and the kids loved the smoothies.
Biku hits the spot for me......it has that bohemian earthy feel about it, great service, great food (still to try the high tea) at a price that feels very fair. It also feels like it belongs......far more so than some of the "Italian/French/Mexican etc" restaurants that have become popular of late with the silver spoon jetset.

“Excellent”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

Our favorite restaurant in Bali without doubt. Great range of well prepared and excellent food served in a great setting. The establishment is owned and run by an expat Australian lady who has to be the master at producing cakes and desserts which are mostly bad for the waistline but very hard to resist. It has been our favorite place to eat in Bali for a number of years but it is getting hard to get a table without booking now which says for itself how great it is. My Indonesian partner also likes the Indonesian food and rates it highly compared to a lot of Indonesian eating establishments.

Out favorites are Pavlova and Trifle, a little bit of heavenly expat food to enjoy when you live and work in Indonesia

We had a girls brunch here after a long night out and it was a nice relaxing restaurant that made me feel quite at home. They sorted us out quickly and the food was perfect for a mild hangover :)
