Owner description: The former royal palace of Tirtagangga (which means water of the Ganges, Hinduism's holy river) features tiered fountains, gardens, and stone sculptures of mythical creatures spouting water into bathing pools. Just outside the palace grounds, the views of the lush rice paddies of northeastern Bali are stunning.

“Beautiful place, cool water”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2014

We brought our kids here to have a swim and the water was relatively clean (spring fed?) and at a wonderful, cool temperature. They even brought floaty tubes and had a great time paddling around. The setting is gorgeous, nestled in the foothills of Agung, beneath towering trees and surrounded by fountains and playful animal sculptures. They loved hopping across the small platforms on one pond. The entrance fee was cheap and fair-- no price gouging towards foreigners, which is nice. afterwards we had a good lunch at the cafe near the entrance. Overall, a good little outing.

“A beautiful palace over my expect”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2014 via mobile

When you enter the gate of it, you will be excited by the view, so beautiful! Although the palace is not large, I think it is still a good place to visit, if your time is enough, do not miss it!

“Relaxing and refreshing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2014

No this is not Versailles, but with the right expectations this is a wonderful place to relax, explore and cool off in the crystal clear spring water pools. Great for children.

“Nothing special if you've been to Europe or Japan”

Rather a let down. Beware of "friendly" locals offering to show you around. they will want "tips" afterwards!

“Wonderful gardens at Tirta Ganga”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2014

So beautiful. We spend a couple of hours wandering around the ornamental water gardens and temple taking it all in. You can take a swim in one of the pools.
