Stayed in a villa with pool and external hot tub (natural, sulfur, springs).
Very nice resort with multiple pools and good spa.
One point that could be improved is the restaurant, not for the food itself but the dining area that could be refurbished (bar to be relocated and removed from central area).
Not a beach hotel either, as located in the mangrove. But well located to go to Menjangan for snorkeling or diving (nice spots).

They definitely take advantage of the fact that the resort is in a quite remote location and finding a OK restaurant is rather complicated.

The restaurant at Mimpi is nothing special (rather lower average) but it was still the most expensive dine in Bali in our 20 days trip. Snorkeling costed us 60€/person, which is a fortune in Bali. Massages were 3 times more expensive than average too.

The trick is to offer cheaper room rates than neighbouring resorts and charge overpriced activities and food.

As a piece of advice: you can book your snorkeling trip at the door of the resort, by an independent service.

On the other hand, the resort was very clean and people extremely nice, they got my 3 points.

I stayed there for 4 nights and had a fantastic time. The staff are friendly and gave me a tour of the property at the time of check-in. I stayed in the Patio Style room and the only thing it was lacking was a kettle and tea/ coffee stuff. Also the wifi was a lil patchy in the rooms next to reception. The property has a lil mosquito issue coz of being situated in the mangrove zone but they tackle it well by fogging occasionally and setting up coils at every location. The highlight of the property is of course the pools and the hot springs! Enjoyed them both equally.

Food is slightly on the expensive side and the options were less initially but they changed the menu the day I was leaving! What a bummer! Could have tried more food. Spa is fantastic!!! I have no words! Tried the Banyuwedang ceremonial package which included a foot soak, sandalwood and turmeric scrub with yogurt, flower bath and a balinese massage! Ah bliss. Even more blissful was when I went for the simple foot massage! After a tiresome day of walking around and scuba diving, this massage was literally heaven! Cannot praise the spa more.

I also did the PADI Open Water Diver course at the Dive shop located in the resort. Megumi, the dive instructor, has to one of the funnest, calm and super awesome person I have come across in this trip of mine. She handheld me through the way and took care of my panicky situations and made sure that by the end of the course, I was comfortable diving! The course is expensive and I was told by other people in the resort that there are cheaper options just outside the resort for diving and snorkelling but I guess if you want to soak in the resort then spare a little extra for the dive bit in the resort.

All in all, 5 stars to the resort! I will be back soon and this time stay in one of the pool villas! Ive heard they are fantastic! :)
