I stayed in March in their corner rooms with sea views.Amazing views like they promised of all 3seas,Rock memorial statue from the comfort of a clean AC room. Stayed on a higher floor so got a beautiful view of sunrise from the room itself. overall a good stay. clean hotel, food is alright too. Its value for money as views are unbeatable from sea facing rooms. Staff is polite too.
Only downside was we were woken up by singing from a church very early morning which had loud speakers. No fault of the hotel really

Room Tip: Ask for corner deluxe AC room on higher floor.Views are superb

Stayed at sea view as part of our 2013 tour it was ok. But only just I think the biggest problem was front office staff which were abut lacklustre and the tired feeling of the hotel the location was its saving grace .
The town is vibrant and noisy and a real must to visit if your in the south of India make sure you leave enough time to take the boat trip

Kanyakumari is vibrant seaside town with great energy. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the southern most tip of India.

However, we can not recommend the Seaview Hotel. We stayed here in January as part of a 3 week tour of Southern India. This hotel was the low point of all the hotels we stayed in (despite selecting one of the more expensive room options).

Our bathroom was pokey and once somebody has had a shower the entire place is wet and humid There were not enough towels to cope with this. You end up bringing water into the room.

One of our travelling group had problems with his air conditioner not working correctly and had to solve the problem himself as the staff seemed disinterested.

The meal the first night was okay. If you want a beer with your meal you are out of luck. Alcohol is served in a separate 'Permit Room' (separate to food consumption).

Things had deteriorated by breakfast. The buffet was mediocre and the food cold and the table cloths dirty (not sure if they were still there from the night before). The service was indifferent. We had to ask several times for coffee. We were seriously concerned about the hygiene standards and took the rest of our meals next door at the delightful Seashore Hotel. If we had been staying longer we would have moved out of the Seaview and into the newer Seashore Hotel (find them on Trip Advisor under B&B / Inn).

We are experienced travellers in India and were not impressed - you could do better at a government run guesthouse (and that is fairly basic).

On the plus side the location is great and the views are tremendous. You can stumble out of bed and up to the roof to watch for the sunset without leaving the hotel. If you decide to stay here then ask for one of the side rooms with a small balcony to watch for the sunset/sunrise without the window bars obstructing your view and eat elsewhere.

Basically they have a captive market being one of two hotels with virtual seafront locations.

Room Tip: 1. If you decide to stay here then ask for one of the side rooms with a small balcony to watch for t...

I stayed in this hotel on 2nd march and this is my first visit to kanyakumari. The hotel was very near to the jetty. The view from the room was awesome. You can see both the vivekananda rock memorial and valuvar statue from the room. Went up to fifth floor balcony to watch the sunrise at 6 am in the morning and it was beautiful. You can even watch it from the bedroom itself. The breakfast was good. The only setback was at 5 am in the morning you are waken up by the preaching and singing from the nearby mosque and church which is an experience by itself. The amman temple is within the vicinity of the hotel. Would stay in this hotel again if i visit kanyakumari.

Room Tip: Get rooms whereby you can view the sunrise from the room itself

Style: Indian, Chinese & continental.
Parking: some in front of Hotel / resraurant.
Attmosphere: Very Bisy & buzy at lunch time with a mix of Indain & European holiday makers.
Price; Middle of the road, not the cheapest but good for the money.
Staff: Well trained, smart, polite. & got on with the job.
Ambionce: Could almost resemble an Indian restaurant in London. UK.
Food Quality: Had the chicken tandoori & curry veg both excellent.
Generally: There are very smart tables with linen table clothes & good quality cutlery.
Both service & food are both very good & well worth a visit & probably more than once.
Gets my vote.

Staying at the tip of India was made enjoyable due to our view from the room, it was a high floor, with double beds. We stayed 2 nights on our drive from Kerala & didnt make reservations, just walked in and booked room. They were quite efficient, room was average -clean, bathroom was ok, but nice tile work. Toilet had a good flush, but shower nozzles & pressure not so great -hot water was available. Also prepare for the entire bathroom to be wet once someone showers. Hotel & room overall was pretty good, nothing horrible -so its was good value for what we needed. The restaurant was not good -its my opinion, im sure some people enjoyed it -i order the same dishes in india most of the time -i was just not happy with food provided in the restaurant -but this is a part of traveling. Location is superb, sunrise & sunset too good -getting on boats out to islands is easy & plenty of things going on in the area of the hotel.
