The outside looks great, the height was made to surpass Gandhi Memorial. But inside was empty. There is nothing except some old photos and a statue.
The place need a complete overhaul.

Kamarajar as every1 know is the ex-chief minister of Tamilnadu... He s the person who brought free education to all people along with free food which was later adopted by many state govts...Proud that a memorial is present depicting his happenings in life... So many photos with different leaders of the world... A video or board with his acheivements would have been much better... English/Hindi boards in the photo along with tamil boards would help others to understand more

This building is an example of how public money can be wasted by political parties for getting communal and political favours. An empty building with a big hall that has a golden coloured half statue of Kamaraj, one of the most famous chief ministers of the state Tamil Nadu from the past. There are black and white photographic displays on the walls and that’s it.

The tourism department of the state completely missed to make this a nice and informative place for visitors. One has to remove the shoes to enter the building and it is free to enter as well. After walking around the building one would get the feel that another missed opportunity by the tourist authorities to make this a pleasing and memorable experience.

Unless you have some remote idea about who Mr. Kamaraj was, you can skip this place as you won’t regret not being there.
