“Temple of Devi Kanya Kumari..”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

The temple is situated very near to the Kanyakumari Beach. The temple closing time is 2030 hrs so visit the temple before the closing time. It take some time to see the Devi Kanya Kumari but there is a direct entry by taking special darshan ticket. There is a rule to uncloth upper body by every men during the darshan but ladies can wear any thing....

“Serene and Holy place”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

Small and beautiful temple without the external gandeur in the structure that we see in most south indian temples - visually.

However the inner experience of visiting this temple is a measure of bhakti (devotion) that one has. Reading up before visiting the temple helped to appreciate this ancient holy place.

Outside the temple is the main throughfare. Behind the tenple one can see the Rock memorial and Thiruvalluvar statue. This is a good place for taking photographs for the family album with the rock memrial and the Thiruvalluvar statue in the backdrop.

The best time to visit the temple is the mornings and the sandhya time (evenings). Kanyakumari being a small place - if one is staying here for more than a day you can do so.
