Price: Over the years, I have stayed at better properties in premium locations across India, and at a much lesser cost. This was a bit expensive especially since there was not much to do here.

Location: The blessing in disguise was that this resort is away from the city and hence there wasn't the usual hustle-bustle of tourists. Though it was bang on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway (old), we were not quite disturbed by the noise.

Attractions: The only attraction at this resort is the swimming pool, huge and luxurious. there is a small play ground for kids with limited options and open grounds for other sports.

Food: The food is good, though not exceptional, however beware if you are going on a weekday especially during the off-season, you will not have an array of dishes laid out on a buffet. However, the hotel will give you the option of ordering whatever food you want from the menu and for an unlimited quantity (since you have already paid for it in the package).

Rooms: The rooms are quite comfortable and well kept. The hotel response to any requests were usually quick. The hotel employees are very courteous and quick to respond.

Overall, its a good place to stay for a short break, but do check your options, as for a Veg only resort, its a bit expensive.

Isolated quiet location away from noisy Lonavla, good for two days specially for children. Exciting for swimmers. Swimming pool is the main activity spot. Good food and arrangement. Little more expensive. But good for a change.

Treasure island is located in nice quite location, on the outskirts of Lonavala.Rooms are quite nice and decent. However usually food quality is bad here historically, But this year i had gone for new year Bash and was amazed with food quality was really nice.Pool is nice but not so clean, and enough choices of other activities.Nice place, good stay but dont expect more...

Room Tip: If possible take a pool view room , which is good view and also nearby to restaurent and other activities.

We stayed at this resort as an RCI exchange. We were delighted with the accommodation, especially as one of our abiding memories of Indian accommodation was rock hard beds. The bed here was soooo comfortable. The double sunken bath and the outlook on the lagoon were a touch of luxury. However, we were the only Europeans at the resort and it was wedding season. This was a source of interest, but resulted in quite some noise at night times. The staff were helpful and friendly and we were impressed with their speed at clearing up after the weddings.

Unless you speak the language go for room service, if you wish to eat on site, rather than the restaurant. We tended to take a chance on what would actually arrive, but the food was good. The one meal we ventured to take at the restaurant was very good, but the most awkward meal I have ever had, as every mouthful was watched closely by 5 waiters, who had nothing else to do!The Kinara Village Dhaba, just down the road, is an excellent place to eat, especially if you get fed up with the vegetarian cuisine at the resort.

The nearby town of Lonavla was very touristy and at the top end consisted of hardly anything but shops selling 'Chikki', the local sweet, similar to fudge. To find the real town, take a left in the centre of the main drag, past the new MacDonalds and KFC and down to the real Indian shops.

All in all, we enjoyed our stay, but it is more for relaxing by the pool or lagoon and lazy days. Some good sightseeing is available, but most of it can be done in a day.

Room Tip: Make sure you opt for one of the chalets by the lagoon.
