“One of the best Pool area i have seen”
Reviewed June 6, 2012

I have travelled 2 years back, but i still remember everything.. at my time rooms pool facing was not available so we missed the view from the room, hotel is nice, pool area is excillent, other activites are also available in the resort, food were excellent as its pure veg so veggies enjoy it more, when we stayed the only thing was bad about hotel was there was no greenery in rest of area except pool side.., the other wing of hotel room was not good and that was little out from the action

Room Tip: Take only pool side area

Stayed here for 1 night and had come with a marriage party?
Pros:
Decent pool,
Good place for reception, weddings etc.
Good location
Cons,
Rooms are old, with big heavy keys, old acs,tvs etc.
Bathrooms are ok as are the toiletries ,giving an old, musty feel
Food is decent..

Nothing great, would stay here only if I had to attend a conference or wedding.

I searched a lot on web and trip advisor, and identified Treasure Island Resorts, Lonavala. The first look of the Lagoon Villa of this Resort just fascinated me, enough to book it right away for a 2N holiday. The Lagoon Villa is the best area in the entire Resort complex, and ideal for a couple get away. It has been developed as a luxurious destination, and offers great amount of solitude, despite being a large hotel with around 100+ rooms. The Lagoon Villa is a smaller section of this resort and could be describe as a resort in resort. The goodness of a large resorts like a huge swimming pool, large restaurants, good recreation facilities, health club is combined with an exclusive touch, in this region of the Lagoon Villa, wherein you enjoy a lot of privacy. I spent 2 nights with my wife at this place, and discovered this luxury at a relatively reasonable price. The negative aspect for many could be that the resort serves only Veg food. The swimming pool with the artificially developed waterfall is ideal for a leisure time with family. You can enjoy a very romantic dinner at the poolside and also spend long hours in the private pool like area developed just outside your lagoon villa. We visited this place at the onset of summer, but still enjoyed the pleasant weather, which this resort provides, being quite away from the Lonavala city. A negative blot during our whole stay is the car parking facility and the attitude of the security. When we entered, they didn't bother to guide you towards the parking, also since you are not allowed to take your car till the reception porch, one should pro actively ask the guest, if they require any assistance in carrying luggage till the resort. We had to enquire whether car can be taken inside, and if not can someone be arranged to assist us with the luggage. This help should have come naturally. Rest, it was a wonderful short holiday, so near to your home.

Room Tip: If you are travelling as a couple, or family, you should stay at the Lagoon Villa cottages.

Had Selected this place after lot of resarch as I was planning to go for my first anniversary.searched a lot of places in lonavala and finally came accross this place and especially this room Lagoon Villa a place every couple should consider for a special occassion if planning for a place nearby to mumbai and time constraint. When we arrived it really met to our expectations....food was really yum and good and service was good.....
Some places they should really work to improve....Especially the Reception area and checkin Process....Overall no complains and satisfied to extreme....

Room Tip: Couples should def go for Lagoon Villa and select one away from kitchen area

I traveled with my husband for celebrating our 1st anniversary. We were looking for places in Lonavala...and had particularly liked treasure island for the Lagoon Villa...however wen i called them initially the villa was not available for 2 nights. I dropped my contact details...and soon forgot about it. Later i got a call from them saying that the villa was available...immediately booked it. The package included breakfast, evening snacks and dinner, but no Lunch.
The day we reached the resort, there was a big club group. They had also arranged for a evening party for the group and so it was little noisy. Also, we were served separately in their restaurant instead of Buffet, as Buffet was exclusively for the club group. This was little disappointing....the next day again...there was no dinner buffet, it was al carte..since the group had left...and very few guests were there...
Now the good things....the room was amazing....we loved the lagoon and the huge bathroom with TV....
My suggestion would be to go for the Lagoon Villa...however avoid having food from the resort. Just 10mins away from the resort is Kinara Dhaba...and they serve yummy food!

Room Tip: Lagoon Villa

Any resort near Mumbai is always packed and crowded. The only way to escape that is to go on weekdays but that of course is not a guarantee. Treasure Island at Lonavla is one of the many that are found over here, but it's more Karla than Lonavla - it is away from the Khandala side of Lonavla which is more popular. This one is located on the old highway beyond the rest of resorts - it is close to the Karla caves where there is a MTDC Resort located.

It is a fairly large resort. Instead of staying at any of the older sections of Treasure Island, we paid extra for the new single cottages around the lagoon. A blue tiled lagoon runs in front of all the cottages and you could just dangle your feet in the water in front of the room or swim in it instead of the crowded pool in the older section of the resort. The room is decent but choose it carefully. There are cottages that face the kitchen and can be noisy.

My wife, I and our five-year old son stayed there for a weekend and it was enjoyable for him at least. The food is only vegetarian and it is not exceptional at all. And remember what I told you about the newer section...

Room Tip: If you are going to stay in the older section of the resort, do check the rooms first

We visited the place for a weekend. We had done prior booking from Mumbai.
When we arrived we were shown to a room. The room had no curtains.
We were then shown another room that had no curtains & the bathroom had its partition fallen off.
We were in for another surprise. The TV did not work & had to be changed.
The staff is very cold in its attitude. We misplaced the room key. Instead of helping us in the night, the staff was more concerned about charging us the fine of Rs 1000. Fortunately we found the key.
Terrible place. Avoidable.
