Myself along with my family visited this Resort, & truly the location is breath-taking,
The food buffet(veg) was good & the rooms were pretty nice, the service was good.
But biggest plus point of this resort is the location, from there you can see the mountain peaks so nearby, Truly Awesome. We plan to go there again in monsoon.

My mum scouted out this place for us, and luckily for me, I didn't read the stupid bad reviews before we went there, else we may have landed up somewhere else! Seriously, people, this is a really great VFM resort with a spectacular view and excellent food, albeit pure vegetarian.

I'm writing this review on the very day I've returned from there. It's hot and humid in Mumbai but my heart is back in breezy Cloud Nine Hills! Imagine, despite the harsh May heat, we had a fab time there. We = my husband and I and three senior citizens (my mum, aunt and uncle).

Here's our experience, broken down into the things that were most important to us...

AMBIENCE: This is the FIRST time I've been to Lonavala and escaped the madding crowds. There was just birdsong and the sound of the water lapping in the little swimming pool. Only the sunrise in the morning and the mist at dusk for company. We loved it. Don't go there if you're expecting raucous music and noisy neighbours. Of course, we were there mid-week (Tues-Thurs) so it may be quite different on the weekends. We had the pool to ourselves most of the time and found it very pleasant.

ROOMS: We took two hill-top cottages (204/205) which had a connecting door. The beds, linen, towels, bathrooms, were all perfectly maintained. I'm finicky about hotel rooms but was satisfied with the sleep quality, hygiene, room layout and amenities (no mini-bar or fridge though). The water in the spout attached to the commode smelt a bit queer, but that was the only thing I could quibble about after I had quickly thrown away the ubiquitous Medimix soaps that disgrace hotel rooms across India. The back door of each room opened out onto a beautiful vista and had space for us to sit and enjoy the serenity outdoors. Although the chairs were of the plastic variety that I usually detest, these were of a superior style and quality that were very comfortable to sit on.

FOOD: I wasn't really looking forward to the food, knowing that it would mostly be Indian veg of the makhanwala variety. But I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, taste and attention to detail. They had it delivered to the room for every meal as we had requested, as the walk all the way down to the restaurant might have been difficult for the seventy-plussers amongst us. Even though the entire meal from soup to dessert was brought up to the rooms, they still ensured that we had plenty of cutlery, crockery, condiments, sauces, etc in properly covered dishes. Dishes we loved: Paneer chilly, butter kulchas, daal khichdi, sevai kheer. Even the jaljeera, which most restaurants make with readymade powder, was evidently made from scratch and had a better flavour and a course ground texture that pleased the palate.

SERVICE: The entire staff (barring just one somewhat rude chap) was professional, efficient, polite and eager to please. Mr Nagraj at the reception really went the extra mile to ensure that we were comfortable, right from organising a pick up and drop to the station, to directing the staff to handle our specific needs.

All in all, it was a delightful stay and we'll definitely be going back.

Room Tip: Get the hill-top cottages which are spacious and have a great view. 204 is awesome!

Thanks to my friends who suggested me to go with my family to visit Cloud 9 for a short nice weekend holiday.

The good thing about this property is it is not in the city of lonavala so its a complete pollution free zone having a panoramic view and its very near to Lions Point & Bushi Dam. I think its around 4 kms ahead of bushi dam and 4 to 5 kms before Sahara Amby Valley.

Nice place to hand around with family and friends to relax and enjoy the nature and climate ofcourse. If you are fond of veg food than nothing like anything..The luxury suite cottage and deluxe suite cottages are to be worth booking.

3 Cheers for Cloud 9 Resort.....

Room Tip: If you are looking for value for money than suggest you to book luxury cottage or deluxe cottage. Ro...

It is close to both Amy valley and pawna lake resort. But at 1/3 the cost of either of them, it is a sure value for money, if you want to keep it a budget weekend, this is every penny worth.

Exceptional location, super climate, scenic beauty.

Not as bad as some of the reviews I read.

Hotel is far off - appox 10-15 kms from proper lonavala market.
Most of the rooms are old construction...renovated rooms are decent.
Food at the Hotel is very average.
Service was decent.
Over priced hotel ...a pretty mediocre hotel. Not at all value for money.

Room Tip: Go for the newly renovated rooms ..

The +ve thing about this place is the location..........located right amongst the mountains at Amby Valley road, the temperature being cooler than most other places in Lonavala......a walk dur4ing the mornings and evenings is really good.....
Secondly, the staff is very polite and courteous, and comes immediately if you call for help......

the -ve no. 1 is that this place needs a lot of cleanliness.....you can see flies roaming around in the reception and restaurant........also the rooms need more cleaning as you might encounter some insects.......it is not really meant for perfectionists who like the place squeaky clean!!!!
Also, the food in the in-house restaurant gets a bit monotonous after the 1st day......
