We rented from the company above, a one bedroom boat for the night.
Transfers from the owners hotel (Springs Inn) were included in the morning as the boat left after checkout time.
The boat was immaculately maintained with both the captain and chef being excellent. The food was more than we could imagine eating and had great variety.
After an hour, the boat stops off at a little fish market on the waters edge where you have the opportunity of buying additional seafood such as crabs, prawns, Kerala prawns, squid and an assortment of fish which the chef cooks for lunch and/or dinner in a typically remarkable Indian fashion!
There is the option to go canoeing through the canals when the houseboat reaches the overnight mooring or just to walk among the village.
Overall the experience was highly recommendable and as our first taste of India, unforgettable!
