I can only echo what the other reviewers have said - it is a lovely place to stay and the Natasha and Biju could not have been nicer hosts. The canoe tour is highly recommended - much nicer than those noisy houseboats! I would like to point out that Alappuzha is not particularly touristy so there are not that many eating places or things to see in the town.

It's hard to write anything new. One can only echo the praise that others have given Biju and Natasha. They are so thoughtful and kind. They arranged for us to be picked up at 2:30 am from the train when the 2 day strike made it necessary to come to Alleppy on very short notice. They provided a wonderful supper at no cost to those of us who couldn't eat othewise during the strike. Every thing in town was completely locked up. They used their car to take my husband to the dentist when his crown broke. They helped in everyway possible and we didn't even need to ask. They just step up and take care of their guests.
Our room was spotless and very attractive. The garden and porch are wonderufl places to eat breakfast and chat with other travellers and with Biju and Natasha. They are very positive and so nice to be with. Their guest house has been the best one in our 5 weeks in India.

We stayed 3 days with Biju and Natasha and they are both charming helpful people. The room was comfortable and clean and their house is beautifully appointed with a lovely small garden which is carefully looked after. Their Dog Zac is delightful
The breakfast is lovely and the smoothies are very good. However we missed the interaction with other guests as breakfast seemed to be when you arrived or the cook arrived.
We booked and paid online for 3 nights in advance and although we arrived before any other guests and I believe stayed the longest we appeared to have the smallest room at the back. The ensuite toilet in this room is on the edge of a raised area so unless you sit sideways your feet do not reach the floor. Having said that I would happily stay again but ask for a different room.

Room Tip: ask for the room at the front or twin

We spent two fantastic nights at Bella Homestay with Natasha and Biju whose warmth and hospitality is second to none. The breakfasts were delicious, the room comfortable, and the water hot.

Biju arranged for us to go on an all day canoe tour of the backwaters which included a Keralan breakfast and lunch. An unforgettable experience.

Thank you Biju and Natasha

We really enjoyed our stay with Natasha, Bijou and Jacky. They were very friendly and welcoming and gave us great advice about beaches and places to eat. The homestay only has a few rooms so is very peaceful. The breakfast, coffees and smoothies were very tasty too.
