A really enjoyable & welcoming homestay. So peaceful, just sitting on the banks of the river watching the boats go passed. We were made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and lots of it. The walking trip along the river bank and the canoe trip topped a perfect day. We stayed in the house, which was very quiet and comfortable

What a wonderful time I enjoyed. I wish I could stay longer and I will definitely revisit.
Clean, friendly, safe and great food. I've met other travelers that experienced the same. Certainly a gem of India.

I have done a homestay before (in Laos) so had rather different expectations of this one! The house was beautiful, the family welcoming and friendly, and the view to the river was delightful. I wished I could have spent much longer there, and after two weeks of hotels, it was a real pleasure to be welcomed into a family. And lovely food!

We really enjoyed Ayana's, away from the chaos of India. A warm welcome, delicious food, & a peaceful setting.
The canoe trip was lovely with the setting sun to finish it off.
We had a room in the house, where we slept with the windows open, covered ourselves in DEET & were not bitten. My only recommendation would be mosquito screens on the windows.

We were starved for air at night in India as we like to have at least one window open, we ended up smothered in DEET & in some modern hotels the windows could not be opened. Surely air & a fan is better than air conditioning, better for health & better for the environment!

Very warm and welcoming hosts, great home cooked food, comfortable and very clean rooms. and really enjoyed the relaxing canoe ride around the backwaters and the informative walking tour. Hammocks a nice touch. Thouroughly recommended!

We had a wonderful time at Ayana's Homestay. The food was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. Johnston's backwater tour in the canoe was very interesting because we learned lots about the area and how the fields were reclaimed. We highly recommend Ayana's Homestay.

Very enjoyable. It's right on the river so the view is wonderful. The home cooked food was not to be missed - better than any restaurant, I'd rate it 100/100. Very nice and friendly people and accommodation very good. Have to experience to believe it.

Room Tip: All the rooms were very good
