We stayed here for two days in the tree house.Initially we were little apprehensive as this place is isolated from the outer world. But as the day passed ,we grew comfortable. The tree house/room is small but cozy.It has a balcony which has a nice view of backwaters.I enjoyed sunset canoeing to the core.Special mention here ,we are vegetarians and the staff took care of that. The staff was very cordial and helpful. If one loves nature and wants to stay away from hustle bustle of city life, then this is the place to stay.

Room tip: Go for tree house

I had a wonderful stay at Our Land over a few days in August. The staff were friendly and super helpful and the food was some of the best I had in Kerala. Crossing the water by canoe to reach it makes it feel very special – like a real get away. I was travelling alone but its small size and the other friendly guests meant I immediately felt at home. There are just five rooms – four are in two traditional style bungalows and one is in the palms on tree trunk stilts. They are all simply decorated in neutral colours with private verandas by the river bank so you can sit back and watch the houseboats go by. The staff run regular activities that you can take part in at no extra cost. I went on an evening canoe trip to see the sun set over the paddy fields, and a morning nature walk. Ask if there is something else you’d like to do – I wanted to see how the local coconut toddy was produced, so we set out one morning to see the tappers in action and try toddy straight from the tree. Highly recommended if you want to relax surrounded by nature, or if you like the chance to immerse yourself in local culture and explore off the beaten track.

Room tip: Stayed in the bungalow nearest to the dining area, room on the left as you face the verandas with back to the river!

Had a memorable time in the resort, which is located on the canals of backwater. Enjoy the view of paddy fields as you travel through the approach road. A short trip on a canoe will get you to the resort. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Each bungalow has 2 rooms. Bungalows are away from each other ensuring privacy. All bungalows are facing the river. Environment is kept as natural as possible, with most of the island untouched. As the resort is on an island you are completely disconnected from outside. Just relax here with a very beautiful view of the canal. You can have a rejuvenating massage also. The main plus point is the hospitality of the staffs. They are very cooperative and friendly. Food is excellent.

It is a nice place isolated from the busy outside world... Ideal place to relax in a natural environment ....
Worth visiting at least once
Good for family as well as friends get together...
Nice and cooperative staff is another plus point...
Some facilities inside the buildings can be improved
Also the road to the facilty is too risky...and can be improved

Room tip: Tree house in the property has a good view of the backwaters
