We stayed for 4 nights in February and enjoyed it immensely. Binoy and the staff are great - arranged things for us, made suggestions etc. the building and rooms are really characterful - and lovely and cool. The garden is great for sitting out in at the back whilst you can watch river life go by from the veranda on the front riverside. We also enjoyed cycling through the rice fields at the back of the property - especially as the rice harvest was being brought in when we were there. We got a nice sunset cruise and canoe trip arranged by Binoy as part of the stay - and also took the river ferry boat (on the school run) into Alleppey which was 20 rupees well spent for a 1 and a half hours trip ! As the accommodation is so comfortable we decided not to go ahead with a houseboat overnight and instead Binoy arranged a day on a small motorboat with which we cruised the smaller backwaters and was an excellent alternative.
