It was a bit off-putting to walk into the lobby to check in and have a smell of rotting fish and something dead. When we got to our room (109), the carpet and linens we're all damp. I suppose this is due to the humid atmosphere, however, I would think there would be a way to prevent or lessen this. The "private beach" is approximately 15 to 20 feet long by 10 feet wide and was completely littered with beer bottles and sharp rock or cement in the sand. The staff we're all very friendly except for 1 person who gave me change at the front desk. She didn't smile or greet me (or anyone for that matter) and I believe she was the manager.
We did not get a view at all (we faced the parking lot) and up until about 10 or 11pm, there were rough looking guests (maybe construction workers?) sitting outside on lounge chairs being loud.
When we checked out, the smell in the lobby was gone.More
