We recently visited for the first time at lunch. Decor - as previously mentioned - is a bit worn and outdated. Our server was friendly and attentive. My husband and I shared an order of fried calamari as an app. I would have preferred any sauce other than the cocktail served on the side but the squid was crisp and tasty. Husband enjoyed the gyro and remarked that the pita was tender and delicious. My Greek salad with Gulf shrimp was fresh and contained green leaf lettuce - no sign of the iceberg mentioned in previous reviews. Portions are large and easily could be shared. Neighboring diners were enthusiastic about their pasta entrees. We plan to return.

Aegean Breeze has been around for 15 years or so and is justifiably one of the better restaurants in the Gulf Breeze area. Tucked in the back of a strip mall near the overpass to Pensacola Beach, you'll easily miss it. Nothing to look at inside or outside, the focus here is on Gulf Coast seafood and Greek specialties. Greeks came to northwest Florida in the 1800s to fish and have opened some of the finest restaurants in the region. Aegean Breeze has a large menu including a page of Greek fare and tons of seafood options, the gargantuan Seafood Platter at $22 being a notable bargain. We had a spanakopita appetizer with delicate filo dough and a creamy spinach interior. There are many Cajun-style dishes, too, many featuring pasta including the locally-loved Gumbolaya, a gumbo-jambalaya fusion. Desserts were nice and the coffee was strong. We had an exceptionally personable and professional waitress who made thoughtful suggestions and was an unobtrusive but quietly upbeat presence. I will agree that perhaps the cleanliness inside isn't the best. Also, for a very long time (a decade?) the ventilation in this restaurant hasn't been adequate as you tend to leave smelling like fried seafood. An uncomplicated restaurant with well-prepared food, at a great value. I will return again.

After hearing so much about the Aegean Breeze we went there for lunch. My first impression, the place needs a good cleaning. I'll never understand why owners can not see the dust on ceiling fans and black (dust/mold) around & on the a/c vents. It can't cost that much to replace ceiling tiles with water stains and how much effort does it take to clean the walls and baseboards. Overall appearance is just dirty and no hot water in the restroom.

We ordered Chicken Deluna - chicken & asparagus in a white wine sauce served over angle hair pasta. Chicken and Sausage Gumbo, a gumbo base over rice. Both had great flavor. They don't skimp on the meats & asparagus, good portion size. Very happy with the flavor of these two dishes. The meals came with a medium size salad, it would of been good however the lettuce was room temperature. Soft drinks are canned sodas @$1.50 each. Can't really say if I'd return here again.

Great hidden gem in Gulf Breeze. Food quality is always good, very casual atmosphere. Fresh seafood and tasty greek items!

However, owners need to update the bathrooms. Old and not very clean....

Locally owned. Not big on decor but makes it up in consistently excellent Greek and seafood entrees. Our go-to place when we have guests.
