I always order this dish on first visit to a Thai restaurant. I was very pleased. It was excellent. I have since returned for lunch twice and was equally pleased. Must go back and try electric eel. Don't remember seeing that on a menu before.
Small ding room with nice view of the bay..

The back view of this restaurant is amazing. The prices are very reasonable to be near the expensive Pensacola beaches. The Thai people that serve you are very, very nice. We were so excited after eating the golden bags with the Thai tea because they were excellent. But when our dinner arrived we all were disappointed. The curry was watery and had too many vegetables (only three pieces of tofu), the Pad Thai lack flavor and was overcooked. Our friend Ray ordered shrimp and it came into a big plate but they looked overcook, he did not like the seasoning. I think this place has a lot of potential with a different Thai chef...has the friendly service, the view, the atmosphere...just needs to improve the main dishes. We tried many Thai restaurants and this has been the worst on food taste and quality.

Apparently this location (RIGHT off the end of the bridge from Pensacola to Gulf Breeze and beaches), has been the kiss of death for restaurants at this location. We decided to give it a try despite the various difference of opinion in the other reviews. (And we were staying right next door at the Quality Inn..)
This new restaurant was sharing a building with another restaurant, and is in the back section overlooking the bay. There is a small area inside with a few tables and a deck outside with a GREAT view of the sunset and Pensacola... Great place for a couple to "cool out" and have a quiet dinner. Now for the food..
It is actually VERY good and VERY tasty. We had several tofu dishes, and I had a shrimp one. The prices are reasonable. HOWEVER one point. There are several choices with each curry dish (etc..) such as tofu, or chicken, or shrimp, etc.. BUT the portions of the "meat" is a bit scarce... I had 6 shrimp, and the tofu dishes had 6 pieces of tofu. Seeing that the place is actually sharing a location (so the rent should be less) they need to be a bit more generous with their portions... Having said that, the flavors were rich, tantalizing, and authentic...

We arrived for dinner and were quickly seated, the restaurant had a nice view of the Sound and paddle boarders were launching from the little beach area out back. After placing our order it was 30 minutes before our appetizer arrived and over 50 minutes before receiving our entrees. It wasn't crowded so we weren't sure what the problem was in the kitchen. The waitress apologized but we were nearly ready to leave without our food.

Luckily it was very tasty when it arrived. We ordered Pad Thai and the Massaman curry and both were well spiced and flavored. The fried tofu appetizer was very crispy - in a good way. Had it not been for the very slow, frustrating service, it would have received 4 stars. We would try it again if we are in the area.

Daughter and I was in the area and decided we'd stop for Thai food. 1100 on a Tuesday. Sign on the door said opens at 1100. Nobody Home. We went to Taste of India and had a GREAT lunch. Not sorry about that for sure!
