Wow! If you are looking for a quiet secluded hotel, this is the place! The rooms are all situated on stilts among the trees and are linked to one another and the pool and restaurant via wooden walkways. It is like staying in a tree hut! we really enjoyed the quiet here. Yes there were some families and kids in the pool area, but this wasnt a problem. The pool was a lovely setting, surrounded by trees, and a bar/restaurant attached for food and drink. (try the passionfuit mint smoothie!) When in our room you could not see any other room, or people, just the trees and part of the ocean. Staff were friendly and helpful, our internet broke and was fixed with a new router that same afternoon. Breakfasts were good, with a wide range and a gorgeous view. We ate lunch once at Veranda, but also chose to eat at some other places in town - Trei and Holy Crab were our favourites down at the crab market, and we enjoyed the Sailing Club for sunset drinks, food at the sailing club is good if you need something western and a break from crab and seafood. We would recommend this place as a unique and quiet place to stay and relax.

Room Tip: We stayed in B4, which was wonderful, we had a large room and a grogeous private balcony to relax on

Love this place. It's my second stay there and they are continually improving. Rates are still excellent (we paid $80USD for 2a and 1 (8yo) child). Kids club was operating (it was a major holiday period) and there were lots of things to do. Pool is in need of repair, but as they are working on another one, I'm sure it will be repaired as soon as the new one is operational. Pool still beautiful and still very usable. Pool bar is great, rooms are clean and well appointed. Great stay once again.

Kep is absolutely beautiful but be sure you bring money with you. There is absolutely no way to get cash other than doing a cash withdrawal via your credit card.

Room Tip: We stayed with friends in rooms 10 & 11....beware! these are directly below the restaurant and i...

Lovely resort with excellent service, decent food, and outstanding accommodation. It has been thoughtfully designed and built by the owners, who are always present in the resort, rsulting in very high standards in every domain.

One of the best in the region, never mind Cambodia.

Highly recommended!!

Pros - great views, location, pretty good value for money

Cons - staff a bit odd, food fairly average, lots of kids (a problem for us I guess rather than a general problem)

Probably slightly less than "very good" but certainly better than "average".

Room Tip: We stayed in the penthouse which was a very big room and pretty good value. However, the mosquito ne...

Pros- great location, views, rooms, food, complex.

Negatives- (mainly contact with the staff) lack of proper customer service, noise levels by builders, room cleaning staff, very poor level of spoken English, waiting staff, over priced, and reception staff all let this place down.

Good luck to the new manager, Barbara.

We struggled to give this place 3/5 stars.

We stayed for 3 nights 23-25 Aug 13 in the Penthouse suite. The resort has a residence which includes several suites including the penthouse. There are many other villas scattered all over the property. The resort is situated on a hillside and resembles a place for hobbits. This is not meant as to be derogative it is meant to be complimentary.

The resort is not like any accommodation we have ever stayed in. It is fantastic. All the staff were well trained and keen to please.

The penthouse was something else. It is situated right at the top of the resort and has uninterrupted views out to the Gulf of Thailand. It is totally private. The room itself is some 41m2 and also has a veranda of 28m2.. It also has a kitchenette including microwave. The only drawback to the room was that the bathroom has no door, and the separate toilet does not have a full length door, in effect opens up to the main area. This offers very little privacy.

We did not leave the resort during our stay. As the resort was so good we did no even to go down to the crab markets. The meals were excellent although a little expensive. For a snack or even a meal go to the bakery and order a ham and cheese croissant, mouth watering.

Cannot recommend the Veranda highly enough. Rating 10 out of 10.

Room Tip: Spend a little bit extra and book the penthouse

We went to the Veranda for 2 week-ends in August 2013 in two different bungalows.

Both times we had a great week-end.
The resort is beautiful, the pool is amazing, the view is stunning and the food delicious !
You can stay the whole week-end in the resort or easily walk to the crab market or to the Nature Reserve.

We will go back over and over as long as live in Cambodia !

Room Tip: For 3 persorns, the Ocean Lodge Bungalow is perfect !
